What is the "Swirl"??
Some sort of kinky sex move referenced back in "Occupation" when Ellen and Cavil were...having...sex.

The brings up another point: so Ellen modeled John/Cavil after her father, raised him as her son, then ended up having sex with him (which they kept referencing in the episode). So now there's layers of creepy incest subtext to their relationship, too. Squick.
Things that make you eeeeeeeew.

Yeah, Ellen might have not known what she was doing, but Cavil sure did.

That just makes him all kinds of creepy. He was an Oedipus with full knowledge of what he was doing. Really makes me feel sorry for Ellen.

Okay but what would you call it when someone sleeps with their mother but they look a lot like your mother's father?

I do not lose sleep over any of the mysteries of BSG. Much as I appreciate the quality of the performances and the overall execution of the show, I no longer have any emotional involvement. I've come this far and I want to see how it all ends but I really couldn't care less one way or the other.

And, on top of that, he was torturing Tigh and using Ellen's desire to free Tigh...so he's abusing his real father too.

Cavil is probably the single most twisted individual in SF that I can think of now. He makes villians like Dukat or Davros or the Master look like they are in grade school by comparison. The Master comes close.
