I admit to only catching supernatural the first season. That said, in the second season of Dark Angel is when as Alec, I first discovered the Jensen hotness

No, Joe Flanigan, Josh Holloway, Naveen Andrews, Zachary Levi, Michael Trucco and half the cast of Heroes are all hotter than him.

But I'd also like to have seen Ackles as Kirk.

In terms of male hotness nothing beats Special Agent Fox Mulder.

to an extent, yes, in photographs. but he's got enough acting chops to be quite edgy in well-written roles. I've still got quite a crush on Alec (from Dark Angel), and his Dean is pretty good. plus, I've never seen someone do pure, unadulterated rage as well as Ackles.

Ah, it was just a "leave your brain at the door" slasher flick. There are plenty worse, although it pales next to the original.

They shouldn't have tried the "twist," though. It created too many plot holes.
