Re: ALIEN:1st Lifecycle>How many eggs could be made from one Space Joc

Makes me wonder why most flashback stories of the Preds fighting Aliens always have the Aliens looking the way they do from the first and second movies.

The Aliens are influenced by the DNA of their hosts, meaning that in the stories where the Preds are fighting the Aliens before the humans run into them, the Aliens would've come from nonhumans. So why don't they look different?

Sure, it dosen't take much imagination to come up with any number of possible theories and rationalisations, but that's all they'll be.
The biggest problem here is there's no answer to who the Space Jockeys are & where the ALIENS come from that would please everybody.

If a 5th ALIEN film came out explaining those things, a third of the fans would be pleased & satisfied, a third pissed-off & disappointed, & the last 3rd in the middle.

To quote a poster from an ALIENS forum talking about the mysteries of the xenomorphs, the SJs & their Derelict:

“Some of life's mysteries are best left unsolved.”

I couldn't agree more.

werent the Xenomorphs genetically engineered by the Predators?
I doubt it. I think that, once they discovered the Xenomorph species, the Predators began breeding them. There's even an implication that the Alien Queen in Alien vs. Predator was being pumped full of hormones and that's why the human gestation phase was so much quicker.
The novelization of AVP actually confirms that.
