Well then it really can't be classic at all, now, can it?

I dont think its the lack of British team being in it that makes it not a Classic, its the fact its all of 3 years old, and even when it was first launched it was called Classic.

anyways dragging this thread back on topic Superbowl, go Red Sox

TrekMovie.com and Variety are reporting that Star Trek 11 will be getting ad time during Superbowl 43 on February 1.

This is extremely important for Star Trek as the Superbowl is the most watched annual television event, with last year's ratings setting an all time high of nearly 100 Million viewers, an upward trend the Superbowl has enjoyed for a long time now.

It is unclear how long the ad will be or what it will contain. 30 second promotional spots can cost an estimated $3 Million dollars. It is also important to note that the Superbowl is also noted for its commercials, drawing in massive amounts of non-football fans to the event.

That would be awesome. But I feel that non-Trek fans are not going to care When I went to see Quantum of Solace for the first full-trailer preview, no one in the theatre even gave any kind of sound about it. Which surprised me.

^ No, he's not. The Red Sox are five stroke favorites over the Islanders.

Meh. Your average Super Bowl vewier will just say "Ain't that that Star Track thang wit Doctor Spock?" and continue smacking his wife around if a call doesn't go for his team.

You're mixing up football with Nascar.

Re: Trek 11 at the Superbowl!

Great news!

They really need to pimp the shit out of this movie if they want maximum box office in May and the summer months. INSURRECTION and NEMESIS got paltry, half-assed ad buys in their respective runs and it showed. Of course, being mediocre if not shitty films didn't help either.

Well it all depends if the Sox pitching staff can keep up with the Islanders defensive line and special teams play.

Yeah, same thing happened when I saw the trailer for "The Dark Knight" last year
