They really flipped for Jennifer Connelly in Japan after Labyrinth. She did a lot of TV commercials there (here's one for Lux) and she even released a pop single there which she sang phonetically in Japanese (which, surprisingly, doesn't seem to be anywhere online).

Her leg in the photo above appears only slightly less skinny than in the picture below, probably because she was a heavier. But I'de be willing to bet that if the photo had shown her standing and included her legs, we would have seen that her legs even then were disproportionatly thin.
