Re: What do you want for Christmas?

Here is the prelim list I just sent my sister with some random ideas off the top of my head:

House (whatever season comes after the last one I buy before Christmas)
"Hancock"
"Pursuit of Happiness"
The new X-Files movie
"Batman Begins" and "The Dark Knight"
A couple technical shirts for running
Running socks
A new computer monitor
Gift cards
A couple books that I will have to grab the titles for.

Gift cards
I've never known anyone to actually ask for giftcards. What stores do you want them to?

Re: What do you want for Christmas?

Actually, we have something here in Cheyenne called a "Cheyenne card" or something like that, which is a gift card redeemable at most stores in town. So, one or two of those would be awesome, but otherwise I would go for the mall, Barnes & Noble, Circuit City, Qdoba, Olive Garden, Subway, or Wal-Mart.

^ That sounds pretty neat. We don't have anything like that here, unfortunately. Also I am extremely jealous that you have a Qdoba near you!

I want to replace the nativity scene in front of my local church with a satanic version. Mary being raped by rabid lambs, Joseph impaled in Satan's trident, a demon stuffing baby Jesus in its fiery jaws... the works.

And some say the spirit of Christmas has been lost.
The spirit of Christmas was lost when they let me play King Herod.

2 more Gb of RAM
The Toshiba NB100-12A laptop

I guess I'll be adding to this list as Xmas gets closer...

Re: The Annual TrekBBS What Do You Want For Xmas? Thread

I told my family that I will be seriously pissed off if I get anything for Christmas this year; I don't need anything--and don't worry, Holdfast, I don't want World Peace. But I need to get my hands on some rectangular sugar cubes, and I've put the word out to everyone I know that I need them before Xmas.

Okay, okay... I played with a friend's iphone the other day, and I kinda' really want to get one.

And okay, I bought myself a Roomba (y'know, the vacuum) and I'm not letting myself use it until Christmas.

The same thing I want every year -- another year of my health, steady employments, and a solid future of pursuing my dreams.

The local Harbor Freight has two of them in stock. I am seriously considering selling organs to get one. I really don't need two kidneys do I?
