Re: Burnout Bikes next week...

Okay, I guess what I was calling McQueen is actually the Cagney Pack (McQueen, Cagney, Bogart... same difference). I can't transfer it to my new 360 because the transfer kit will erase everything and my memory card isn't big enough.

Anyone know why it's no longer available for download? Is it included in the bike pack or another game update?

What's the problem with the transfer kit? You want the second hard drive as a backup I guess?

The problem with the transfer kit is that it'll erase the HD I'm moving stuff to. And everything except that one Cagney Pack is already on there. It doesn't transfer select items -- it's a full erase and exact duplicate.

So how are the bikes in Burnout Paradise? I picked up the game when it came out, but I never really played it...I'm more of a fan of Burnout 3: Takedown. I see how the bikes would have an advantage of speed, but how do they handle crashes? Do the people on the bikes fly off or something?

The bikes are quite a lot of fun. There are a few problems though:
- there are NO bike races (so all you can do is race against the clock)
- bike crashes suck (rider disappears, bike just sorta falls down)

They don't show the person flying off. IIRC, you just see the bike smash up.

Yeah, I know... but why not just move everything over like that?

If there's stuff on your new hard drive, just copy them back to the old hard drive and then to the transfer?

Just did some searching and apparently the Cagney Pack is rolled into the Bikes Pack... but maybe you can just play it with the Bikes pack to see if that's true?

Man, I really hope I get a chance to fire up Burnout again sometime soon, I consider it my ubiquitous racer at the moment since it's sitting on the HDD, no plans to get any other racer for the forseeable future.
