A can of worms was opened up this weekend when Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria was shot exiting the Marvel offices in Beverly Hills with a stack of comic books in hand, one of them happened to be THE AVENGERS.
Shit, she was shot!? Damn. Hope she's okay.
That's what you get when you steal from Marvel. They don't fuck around.

That sucks ass. Now without Scarlet Witch it's just going to be a sausagefest.
Pretty much (Cap, Iron Man, Thor, Ant-Man (Scott Lang, from the sound of it) and possibly Hulk).
Should give Robert Downey Junior lines to that effect.

Tony Stark: "What, all guys? Whatever happened to a commitment to diversity? Nicholas, my good friend--are there no women superheroes that might join this illustrious group?"

Fury: "There are, but we couldn't legally have you and them on the team at the same time because of the restraining orders."

Stark: "Oh, that stings."

Fictitiously yours, Trent Roman

Really? Stark is a charming hottie even through the haze of alcohol steaming out of every pore.

I assume it would be more likely that the woman of the Movie Marvel Universe would have Unrestraining orders fitted against Mr Stark.

Re: Avengers movie: Desperate Wasp?

K. I finally followed the link.

Bandwidth issues.

That comic she is holding is New Avengers Annual 2. The Wasp isn't in it. In fact it's mostly about the bad guys. The Hood is so cool.

There is also the possibility that she could play the Wasp in Edgar Wright's "Ant-Man" film.

^ Since Ms. Marvel is my newest girl-crush, agreed!

TOTALLY need some estrogen on the Avengers -- Tony wants to diversify his sex portfolio to include superheroes

You know, they're making a Captain America movie too.

And a Thor movie.

Maybe she's Sharon Carter or Sif?
Sharon's race isn't particularly important (though given they seem to be doing all-WWII with Cap's film, Sharon wouldn't be in it; that's one of my problems with the all-WWII approach, since most of Cap's interesting supporting characters aren't there), but Sif's a Nordic goddess, so I doubt Longoria would be doing that.
These are good points, I was just trying to point out that just because ONE of the comics was an Avengers mag doesn't mean she's playing an Avenger.

Sorry, I was momentarily confused when you said "hero" instead of "heroine." Both are OK when you speak of Ms. Marvel. BTW, she's hotter than ever as illustrated by the current art team.

Ms. Marvel's not bad. Never be number one though, that still goes to this guy in my mind even if he isn't a super hero.

As for Longoria playing the wasp, I don't even know who she is. I thought the Avengers movie was still a few years off.

He's good but he's not leader of the Avengers good.
