While I do like the X-Men movies, they focused a lot on Wolverine more than any other character. Even in the third one he was pretty instrumental in saving the day.

So I pretty much consider them Wolverine movies.

To answer the OP's question i'm guessing that the story will start with Wolverine and sabertooth being recruited to join "weapon X" at least thats what it seems like from the comic con trailer.

I liked "Origin". The ongoing "Origins" series, however, is pretty craptacular.

there was certainly a clip in the comic-con footage that showed a kid with claws. a kid Logan has been cast. footage has been shot involving a farm set and a barn.

some elements may well be included. like elements of the UMU have slipped in to the other movies...

Actually I liked the Origin story myself. It was done pretty well.

Nightcrawler's origin story though...Horrible.
