Otherwise, yeah, that's a good version.

Check out this version of What you waiting for? by Gwen Stefani performed by Franz Ferdinand. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RM6KYRIlYG0 Disclaimer: It has random Billy Idol in it.

And The Clash did a dynamite cover of I Fought The Law.

Re: Rock covers. When the cover was better.
Thanks for the warning. That's pretty cool too (although I am fortunate enough to not know the original).

Re: Rock covers. When the cover was better.
I like Pantera's cover of "Planet Caravan" or Sabbath's version, I know, heresy. Van Halen's "You Really Got Me" over The Kinks RATM's "How Could I Just Kill A Man" over Cyprus Hill Foo Fighter's "Down In The Park" and Fear Factory's "Cars" I was just never a fan of Gary Newman's voice. Ok, here's the big one, I love Blue Oyster Cult, but, Metallica truly owned Astronomy. And I'm sorry, but seriously, GnR's version of Sympathy? I was just cringing at it the other day when they played it on the radio, even Slash is on the record saying "This is the sound of the band ending."

Re: Rock covers. When the cover was better.
I'll probably be burned at the stake for this, but who cares: With the exception of "Hurricane", I prefer pretty much any Dylan song as performed by anyone other than him.
