what does Star Trek food taste like?
Jumja stick = Sickly sweet, something like tamarind. Coheres together like a creamsicle but it's not really cold. Romulan ale = Definitely hard alcohol, nothing like beer or "ale." So astringent that you can barely discern a taste at all. It's calibrated for Rommie taste buds. Mostly you just feel your mouth being set afire. Tranya = Yummmmmm! Vaguely tropic fruity. Kanar = Mildly sweet, very viscous compared with beverages humans are used to. Probably hard to stomach for humans. Intensely intoxicating, but for Cardies it's just a mild buzz. |

Re: what does Star Trek food taste like?
![]() But Ferengi tube grubs are surprisingly tasty, once you get past the idea that you are eating worms. Soft textured and mildly sweet, like calamari, with a spicy kick. Great in jambalaya. Here's a little known fact. Which Earth food item is the most popular among alien cultures? Answer: Beets. |

Re: what does Star Trek food taste like?
I've always wondered about blood wine. Despite the predilections of Klingon cuisine, I've always taken the name to be figurative. Probably just a really potent red wine that fires up the blood. |

Re: what does Star Trek food taste like?
Romulan Ale tastes like Permafrost(the drink, not the auto fluid) Tranya tastes like Tang Kanar tastes like Aqua Velva Chicken is bland because its usually cooked. Tube grubs taste like Gagh, which tastes like your eating live worms. |

They make a nice savory stock, though.
