Official Smallville Season Eight Spoiler Thread

After several people contacting me about it I've decided to open the Season 8 Spoiler Thread for Smallville. Please feel free to discuss known spoilers, your thoughts on spoilers, and even your theories on what is to come. Let's see if it can be as successful as the one from last year.

I'll open with a new spoiler from TVGuide posted today:

Chloe may not be returning to her job at the Daily Planet immediately in Season 8 if at all.

Clark will have been missing for several months and may appear with a beard.

Doomsday will not appear until the second episode rather than in the premire.

Tess will have her own assistant.

A beard is better than long hair, I suppose.

I would do an episode where he fights the proto-Justice League first and crushes them.

I also read that the Doomsday "regular guy" character is not going to be a bartender anymore but a paramedic.

I just wanted to get in on the first page cause this is gonna be like 20 pages long...
So What has been said about the doomsday character? Is he a mild mannered paramedic by day and a "thing" hellbent on the destruction of earth and Supes at night?

Supposedly the Justice League will come and rescue him. How they do that, I do not know.

Any news on what they will do to explain Lex's departure from the show after last season's cliffhanger ?

And any info on what Doomsday will look like ? Will they make some CG creature for him to transform into or will he be just a human with powers ?

There really going for that "lost for several months, working somewhere else and sporting a beard" cliche lol
