Okay... so this is my first stab at this so don't laugh!

I was watching The Devil in the Dark last night and was wondering what a Star Fleet vessel crewed by Horta might look like. And this is what I came up with...

SFB has something along this line...

A race of interstellar wanderers called the Jindarians. They are humanoids who have been in space for so long that they've evolved to a microgravity environment and can no longer live in a gravity well (like a planet). Their larger ships are made from hollowed-out asteroids and they use asteroid belts for camouflage...

Wow!

I've never seen what a TOS Soyuz could look like before.

Your Vostok class looks awsome

LOVE the Vostok!! A perfect interpretation of a TOS Soyuz, IMO. Kick ass!

Thanks, guys.

Although i'm wondering, what a TOS Soyuz would look like, if one interprets the spikes as weapons.

Well, if the successful return of Polar Lights means we'll eventually see a 1:350 Connie, I might just have to build one!

Inspired by therealfoxbats Hermes-variant:

Astraea class scout

...and a destroyer variant:

Furor class destroyer

...and for those who prefer two-nacelled destroyers:

Principe de Asturias class destroyer

By the way, if you search for names for your designs, here is a page wich lists many military sailing ships:http://3decks.pbwiki.com/

You forgot to replace the "U.S.S." with "W.K.A.", for "We Kick Ass".
