What would have improved Voyager?

Are you thinking of Scorpion? but even then his plan to screw the Borg was only to leave them some place safe and run away instead of exterminating 8472. Hell even in an episode called "The Fight" he's communicating via being a gimp bitch to weird aliens who talk with a freaky accent.

When was Chakotay the bloodthirsty one?

"Learning Curve" where he punches out one of his Maquis so he learns to follow orders.

"Year of Hell" where he starts to side with Annorax.

"Fury" he orders Harry to rip the ship apart to escape the Viidians.(Best use of Chakotay ever!)

How he went rogue just to hopefully put an end to Seska.

"Unimatrix Zero", Chakotay's superior battle tactics allow Janeway and company to beam on a Borg Cube.

Encouraged the Voth scientist to persue his goals even though he knew it might end his life & career.

For that I always saw Chakotay as private in his personal life but aggressive by nature.

Notice how the pushed up Janeways breast to make them look fuller after season 3.

To be fair, it also helped that Jeri Ryan could act, whereas Terry Farrel, IMO, couldn't.

Along with the EMH, Seven was one of the best characters on Voyager. I don't care for the show, too much, myself, but it would be harsh to write off Ryan as simple eye-candy. Yes, there was that side to the character, and to be fair, it was often quite blatent, but the character was still a decent character.

A shame she was wasted on Voyager

She was nice eye candy, and she could act. If she was not on Boaringger opps Voyager ... would she fit in with DS9? Having her on DS9 with Jadzia Dax with two eye candies ... well three if you add in Leeta would be over doing it.

Think Kes would have been better on DS9 than Voyager ... DS9 has more class without the need of over doing the eye candy

Jennifer Lien's a decent actress. Kes was never really given enough to do on Voyager.

No way, Sisko needed Jadzia. She was his best friend, confidant & sounding board. Seven couldn't emotionally give Sisko what he needed, she was too distant.

Jadzia Dax is my all time favorite Trek character.
She is the embodiment of what every Trek fan wishes they could be.
Smart, sexy, a celeb. because Dax was Curzon and everywhere she went, somebody knew him. Friends with the Ferengi, honorary Klingon, best friend to the Captain(the only one who could get away with calling Sisko by his first name), former lover of Vanessa Williams, pilot of the Defiant, she could fight like a Klingon, even the Jem'Hadar respected her.

What's not to like about her?

Not going to argue the merits of the character, as I agree with you. Sadly, Farrell's performance often diluted what could have been a great character.

In the end, I was glad to see the back of Farrell. NdB did a much better job when she came onboard as Ezri.

Love Ferrell, disliked DeBoer. To this day, I still can't watch an ep. with her in it. DeBoer brought none of the conviction Ferrell had for the character. There was no real heart felt emotion in anything DeBoer said. When Ferrell spoke to Sisko or Worf, you even saw it in her eyes the affection she had for both of them.

I presume you've seen the relevant thread in the DS9 forum? Probably better to address Farrell's shortcomings there than hijack another thread to discuss just how bad she was here
