Nothing wrong with vampires.

To be.... "sort of fair" to the Twilight "vampires" (from the movies, at least) I *could* see Carlise being an "attractive" vampire given that he has conventionally good looks, is rich and is blessed with incredible self-control to the point he is, and coverts others to, "vegetarian" vampirism. Also sort of a "match maker" in the series by "adopting" young vampire teens/young adults, converting them to "vegetarianism" and then hooking them up with a mate.

So, of all the Twilight "vampires" I think Carlise is the "best."

(It's not much of a competition, though.)
Trekker, I've put up with you doing your Devil's Advocate routine on topic after topic, but this time you've gone too far.

Also, lol at the thread premise. At least it's been an illuminating lesson on some people's sex hangups.

^Yeah. It's just not salvageable.

The thing is, I could forgive everything about Twilight, from the glittery emovamps, to the total lack of agency of the main female character, to the questionable moral messages and "let my boyfriend do it while I lie here" attitude of the entire series, to the poor story-telling, to the lack of imagination, to the bad fanfiction level of trope usage and plot devices, if it was at least fun. But it is SO. FUCKING. BORING.

"Twilight" and "best" should never be used in the same sentence.
Unless it's like this:

Twilight movies are the BEST...for these puppies to take a ginormous dump on.

Twilight Sparkle is best pony?

(I know those words but that sentence makes no sense... )

Twilight's vampires are a little known subspecies of vampire/dewdrop fae offspring.

It's the only explanation that hurts less.

Whilst perusing the Business Insider, I chanced upon this article which is very apt, indeed, to the topic-at-hand: Former Porn Stars who've either retired, or quit The Business to lead normal lives, when The Party's over. It's not particularly long, or indepth with anything and is fully illustrated ...

So it has to pay off for you to bother treating people with respect?

Not people, just women, apparently.

You know, I remember a thread very similar to this from years ago (was it JAyson?). Only now I have the reply I didn't have then:
