I never thought she died. I figured she managed to escape with Grunglik...or however you spell his name.
There's that, too, but I like to think it's the final story (a la "Sleeping in Light") for the those characters in "our" universe. Yeah, I figured she escaped with Grunchlk, too (close, but no cigar).
I wish all Scapers luck.....its really the show I love from "Back in the Day" in 1999, before everything started being a "bleed yourself white for ratings" fest of "make more standalones!" but I don't know if I can trust Scifi Channel again, after the cancellation......and Battlestar season 3.......and Flash Gordon.....and Painkiller Jane.....and cancelling Stargate...twice....and....and.....
What amuses me most about this thread is that Wikipedia cites it as a source in the Farscape article.
Wow, that's great. I can just imagine the exploding heads of some editors when they see that citation.
New Farscape! Hellz Yeah! But seriously, hell yes. It's been far too long. Thanks for the update KRAD.
This pretty much somes up my feelings as well. I've known about the comic books since they were first announced, but hearing that KRAD is co-writing them makes me even more excited for these comics. I was a little confused on one thing though, is this going to be one miniseries, that might continue, or is it the first storyarc in an on going series?
All the pics from that cover are direct photo-manips from the UK DVD cover of PKW. It's not new material designed specifically for Keith's story, just a re-use of old stuff designed for PKW. Which is not to say that Sikozu doesn't appear or that she doesn't have that hair. Only that it doesn't confirm that she does either. Oh, and much sperminations on this draddest news.
There will be a series of Farscape miniseries, each running four issues, and then will be collected into trade paperback down the line. The tentative title for this first miniseries is The Beginning of the End of the Beginning. The next miniseries -- er, well, is waiting for Rockne to figure out what it is. Seriously, though, Rockne and I have batted around a bunch of ideas for future miniseries.
MTV's Splash Page web site has an interview with Rockne and a six-page preview of the first issue. We also have a confirmed release date of 24 December 2008 for #1. It'll make a dandy holiday present.
Oh wow... and I know just the peopel to get it for!!! Just one queston... should I wear the Stark costume when I go pick the comics up?
Keith, thanks for reminding us of this. I'm seriously looking forward to it. Do you happen to have an amazon link for it though? Because I couldn't find it on their website.
Sweet and unexpected news! I'll be picking up the TPB when it comes out in the spring time and Horizons needs to be made into a Comic!
"He also sees the potential for the comic and webisodes to spur a return to television, and perhaps even a leap to film."
...You named it after a Smashing Pumpkins song? ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mxgq_zfyQd8&feature=PlayList&p=ED84C4CDEB942743&index=18 "The Beginning is the End is the Beginning," by Smashing Pumpkins )
I think it's more a riff on Winston Churchill's formulation after the Battle of El Alamein. "Now this is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning.
Probably because they don't sell individual issues, the first of which is what's coming out later this month. I wouldn't expect to see the trade before next June, and possibly later.
