Here's one courtesy of my husband. I need to take his advice myself: Don't worry about things so much. It will drive you crazy.
Surely this is the greatest news moment ever. I know there's been a ton of them but this one is so subtle, so modern, so rude
Good idea for a thread, Kes. Give someone, anyone, a smile. You have no idea how such a simple thing can mean to people. It may even make someone's day. In some way, it can even be a stress relief to the person giving the smile. Smiles are a wonderful thing.
Well you know what they say... build a man a fire, you keep him warm for a day; light a man on fire, he's warm for the rest of his life. That is how the saying goes, right?
I'm going to pull my advice from Shore Leave: "The more complex the mind, the greater the need for the simplicity of play." So, remember to play!

I'm going to sneak one in from the Dalai Lama. Not mine, of course, I already made my post. But I don't think his Holiness has an account here. So on his behalf:
Also to stop people from being too self-important and only listening to themselves, everyone needs to try out one thing from the thread so far. Obviously I can't make anyone do anything, but why not try to incorporate something new into your life?
Loving this thread. Thanks, Kestra. Some wise words from my mother: "Nobody's too good to scrub a toilet." Humility helps to keep your head level and feet on the ground, and that can only be a good thing.
