Their lineup is so, so bad. I mean, look at this. Look.

    1. J. Pierre, LF
    2. C. Coghlan, CF
    3. G. Stanton, RF
    4. P. Polanco, 3B
    5. G. Dobbs, 1B
    6. D. Solano, 2B
    7. R. Brantly, C
    8. A. Hechavarria, SS
    9. W. LeBlanc, P

That isn't a lineup. That's an abomination unto the Lord.

If Stanton doesn't end up setting the Major League record for walks in a season I'll be shocked.

He'll be behind Uggla for that.

Yeah, there is this misconception out there about Uggla. People think that because he is a K machine that he is some free swinging psychopath. Couldn't be farther from the truth. He goes deep in most counts but consistently misses strikes. Mainly getting blown away by fastballs. I've never seen anyone like him. Its maddening. As I type this he just took a seven pitch walk from LeBlanc.

What is very interesting in this telecast is the decision for the Marlins broadcast team to field e-mails throughout the night. I wish you could hear these guys tapdancing around all the hate mail. They are going out of their way to make it very clear that they are just going to call the game with the players on the field.

There's a Yicketty Yogurt at Turner Field now... along with Holeman & Finch burgers, which are supposed to be the best in Atlanta. I didn't want to wait in line for 2 hours to try one though. Maybe next time.

On a completely unrelated note... if you like American Pest's facebook page and join their e-mail list, you get two free Nats tickets.

Did the Holeman and Finch burgers replace the McCann's Burgers Stand? And Is that Steak Sandwich Stand that was on the Terrace Level still there?

Ugh...Reds took a beating today. It seems they are either exploding for double digit runs or barely swinging the bat.

Well, it's not like Jered Weaver was a big part of our rotation or anything....

I was wondering this the other day, if there were a movie based on Berry Zito's journey from ace pitcher, to huge contract bust, to redemption in the last few years, who would play Zito. The first one to come to mind was Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

On a serious note, what Zito is doing right now is making me really feel happy for him. For all the crap that he took (And sometimes deservedly so, to have the Giants go 16-0 when he pitches and to hear that crowd roar when he was coming back to the dugout is such a great story.

Of course the cynical side to the argument was that this is a contract year, but he was doing this last year and in major games like the games in the NLCS and the World Series (I think it was Game 4 in the NLCS and Game 1 of the World Series).

Yeah, I had to content myself last night with laughing my ass off as Boston's bullpen took a wet, runny shit all over the field.

It was only Hanrahan who blew up. The rest of the bullpen was solid.

Even if it was only Hanrahan, it was amazing.
