Yeah, at this point I pretty much assume a major release is going to be in 3D, unless specifically stated otherwise. I'll probably wait to see what kind of a reaction the 3D gets before I make my final decision.

I'll be seeing it in 2D. I only see out of one eye. I can't see it in 3D.

I'm not ruling out 3-D but my first viewing will be 2-D. Depending on feedback I hear will determine if I check out 3-D at some point during it's opening weekend run.

You beat me to it. I just saw this on Screen Rant.
It has a snipet of the lines we've seen posted between Loki and Stark.
    I have an army.
    We have a Hulk.

It also puts into context who Stark is talking to when he says, "If we can't defend the Earth you can be damn sure we'll Avenge it."

Since the Megablocks Lizard thing was posted in the Spidey thread I thought I'd go ahead and post this here. This is the first time this particular character seems to be actually attached to "The Avengers" although I think there has been some speculation in this thread and the Cap film thread if he was going to appear. Potential spoilers.

That was hilarious watching Cleveland's 9th Street being blown up while everyone is talking in Russian!

I didn't get that "it'll be in 3D" news item. Wasn't that already known about a year ago? That had definitely already been said before.

And even without that, after Thor and Captain America were both in 3D, you could only read that "news" and have this reaction

It was confirmed in the link that was posted. It had only been rumoured to this point and Joss isn't the greatest fan of 3D given what happened with the whole "Cabin in the Woods" fiasco.

That's just a photoshop mish-mash of previously released promo images.

I think at best this is artwork to be used on say the side of a Popcorn bag, alongside the clothes rack in the children's department and other such places. Maybe as a tag itself on clothing or other merch such as lunchbags, thermos, bed sheets etc.

As the article stated it seems to be more of a marketing purpose poster. Oh and 'Tasha looks fine to me :)

    Enter at your own risk...

Will the Red Skull appear in The Avengers?

    Interesting.

Flashback? Surprise villain reveal? (If so--Thanks a lot Heroclix!:scream:) Could he and Loki have hooked up in some other realm? The Skull might have been transported to one at the end of Captain America: The First Avenger. The same place Loki wound up at the end of Thor? Could he appear in the stinger at the end of the movie? Or maybe Heroclix is doing figurines from all of the Marvel movies, and accidentally (or not) labeled Red Skull as an Avengers character?

I seem to remember hearing Red Skull rumors waaaaaaaaaaaay back before Joss Whedon was even confirmed as director for The Avengers.

I think it fair to ask that any replies to this post be spoiler coded.

It's okay. It is rather interesting. I could have sworn I read an interview where Joss said that character wouldn't appear in the film. But your theory makes sense given what we saw at the end of "Captain America: The First Avenger" and where Loki went at the end of "Thor". I think this was first brought up in the "Thor" thread.
