So it will be published as "Miracle Man" and not "Marvel Man"? Are they saving Marvel Man to use in the MU, perhaps as part of the MarvelUK project previously mentioned?

I read a story earlier today where they made it sound like at least some of the AA characters who died might be getting resurrected. I can't find the article in my history, so I can't make sure that I didn't misunderstand.

I'm not actually sure about the Miracle Man title. That surprised me since I thought it would be Marvel Man. I guess they worked out the legalese of it.

    "Miracleman," not "Marvelman," yes.

Possibly, though I don't know. To be honest, I don't see the benefit to a 616 Marvelman. Essentially, we'd end up with Sentry by another name.

No, absolutely not. That's a project to relaunch a bunch of dormant properties that have some connection to the Marvel universe. And like the Miracleman reprints, it starts in January.

So Marvel was busy today. The announced the following new titles:

-Captain Marvel #1 (relaunched) from Kelly Sue DeConnick and David Lopez

Confirmed All New Marvel Now Point One for Jan as well.

The "End" Superior teaser...wasn't directly announced but it ties into "Goblin Nation" a big arc starting next February, and Slott teased something is going to happen in Superior Spider-Man #26.

Relaunching Captain Marvel with a new number one seems a bit desperate. I'm sure as a`first issue the sales will be good, but will the next issues sell any better than the current series?

A bit desperate, but it sounds from the panel they're taking Carol in a new direction and making the book bigger. Plus David Lopez is on so that resolves my art issues I had with the first book. I'm excited for it.

Making it better rather than bigger would be a smarter idea.

That goes without saying. I know there are a lot of fans that dislike DeConnick's work on the book, but I am not one of them. The first volume started off very slowly, and I nearly dropped, but my fondness for the character made me keep it, and I never regretted it. Once it got into it's arc it's been great IMO.

I caught up on the last four months of Ultimates.

    Kang is in town.

    Kang is a girl.

Kang used to be the Scarlet Witch.

Kang is saying things like "No more Mutants".

    Duuuude.

I was trying to sell the storyline without spoiling the final revelation.

Sorry. It always astonishes me when people are still reading Ultimate books. It was a really cool moment...and I was fooled too for a while.

Re: Marvel Now/ReEvolution Ongoing Discussion (Spoilers)

Well it's not like there's a lot of them any more.

Ultimate X-Men and Ultimates despite some rare moments need to be put down.

^ Indeed. I can't wait for Cataclysm. Hunger has been good so far.

I don't read the press any more.

    The future surprises me.

Sometimes the past too when I have to go back and find cool stuff I missed.

I stopped reading the Ultimate line once Mark Millar left and they killed Spidey. Good jumping OFF point. I am reading "Hunger" though just cause Actual-Galactus is in it.

Hopefully yes since they can't have Fraction walking out of Marvel and going to work for their competition now.
