Hi, was there and episode where Voyager had to cross a region of space filled with some lethal radiation and everyone had to be kept sedated, and only the Doctor awake piloting the ship for some days? and then he hallucinated? or I am not remembering right? thanks
There was indeed. And with the doctor commanding and such, I would guess some of the later seasons, perhaps around season 5... Found it! It is actually season 4, episode 4x25 titled "One".
^that. Thanks. I didn't remember 7/9 was in it too, I thought it was the Doctor who had to deal with all the trouble. ENT has a similar episode , it' their doctor who is alone.
And TNG has those as well, perhaps even multiple eps. I remember one where crew members start disappearing and Dr Crusher is the only one left to command the ship. I suppose there were others too, with other characters in similar situations.
There's 'Waking Moments' but I think the episode you're referring to is 'One' but Seven is also somewhat immune and helps with day to day running of the ship.
I think you're combining two eps. The crossing radiated space ep. is "One" The ep where the Doc thinks he's alone and going crazy is "Projections".
He's only alone for three days, which is a do over of the three days he was alone in Caretaker, and that period is glossed over. Shouldn't Shat Happens screen name be Shat Happened?
Shat is the past tense of shit. Happens is the present/future tense of happened. He's fucking with time and grammar.
Projections is an episode about a glitch almost tricking the Doctor into thinking that he is a real flesh and blood person and the crew is a bunch of holograms. It has almost nothing to do with the Doctor being left alone to look after the ship. Although there was some dialogue to suggest that he was left alone for a touch.
Again, you need to pay attention to what I wrote. I said "thinks" he's alone, I didn't say he actually was.
He's never alone in Projections and never thinks he's alone for possibly longer than a few minutes. The EMH is either in the company of a Barclay avatar or the Chakotay avatar, each who had their own agenda, or a member of the fake holographic crew, and the Doctor had control over the holodeck that when the crew vanished, he fast forwards the program three days till when the crew gets back which is what I meant by "glossed over". It was a fail to mention this episode, when you were trying to outguess how Shat Happened to conflate two episodes. It was probably Ent Doctors Orders where Phlox is alone piloting the ship, since One is about Seven being (mostly alone, the Doctor is locked in sickbay.) piloting the ship by herself.
