He could be saying it's the best Bond song since Sheena Easton's For Your Eyes Only, or Shirley Bassey's Moonraker ditty.
^Well, 2012-30=1972...which only leaves the Bond films up to and including Diamonds Are Forever. EDIT: Ten years off. Never mind....

It's funny how two different news outlets can look at the same interview from the drummer. And come up with two completely different stories. In Dan's link, "Muse might be doing theme!" in this new link, "Muse sad they didn't submit a song!"
Thirty years ago would have been 1982 and it would then be everything before Octopussy. Nineteen Seventy Two was forty years ago. SFX have uploaded a few new Skyfall images, the last one of Q is pretty cool.
Well, needless to say--I disagree. Hey--they're setting the bar high, for her Bond song. Let's hear how she does--and then we'll talk about soul and technique. Who knows? Maybe she's worked out the bugs, by now.
^Absolutely. I remember seeing her on TV--you know, that big music awards thing whose name escapes me, when Lady Gaga got in into her head to turn herself into Michael Jackson for a night--Beyonce revealed that yes...she IS pregnant--and so on. Anyway, I hear Adele sing, and..."DANG, she's good!" That being said..."Someone Like You" is still overplayed to the point of being headache-inducing whenever I hear it.
Not necessarily. Plenty of James Bond theme songs have been from the point of view of women he's dumped. Or gotten killed.
