http://en.memory-alpha.org/wiki/Star_Trek:_Creating_the_Enterprise got to admit I'm intrigued. Remember shooting some emails back & forth with the guy a decade or so back, but wonder just how much you can write about this one aspect ...
I'd like to have it. The paint job on the TMP Enterprise was something I researched fairly thoroughly about a year ago while I was doing a model kit of the refit 1701. Fairly fascinating all the work that went into that ship - only to have it completely dulled in the movies that followed.
I just checked the Sony Ebook Store to see if they have an EPUB version, but it doesn't appear to be available yet. I'll definitely keep this one on my radar, though, and pick it up when I can get it digitally.
The photo of the crew jacket on his web page is priceless (and possibly NSFW!). http://www.startrek-enterprise.us/Crew_jacket_&_last_decal_sheet.html
What does that picture have to do with showing off the jacket?? I´d say, what´s inside the jacket kind of takes the attention away from the jacket. But of course, YMMV
I have a pre-read review on his page. He has sent me some very nice emails. Can't wait to read it. He indicated that he sent it. All I have to do is wait and that is killing me.
I'd still be interested in hearing feedback on this. You CAN buy a hardcopy of the book, but with shipping it is over $30, so I'd prefer not going blind into this. I'm figuring the unlocked website part is actually more important than the book in print or e- form, but again, any feedback from e-buyers or anyone else would be appreciated. Maybe I'll just buy this instead of THESE ARE THE VOYAGES, since there don't seem to be any ethical violation issues associated with this one.
