Oh, I forgot to mention another free hosting site I'm aware of.

Microtech File & Avatar Hosting was pretty darn reliable when I was using it (as of last week!) The only thing that might be considered a downside is that you don't actually sign up, so there's no account to manage--if you forget your URL, you might have to upload it again. (There is an option that emails you the link, however.)

    Hope this helps! :D

FYI - Digikitten is in the middle of another site upgrade. As a result, their hotlink function is disabled. Their Admin said they are moving to a fast server host. At the moment it is offline. I expect this to stay offline for at least two days.

Not relishing on the irony of the situation, but when I check the link you gave me, the following message showed up:

First was the DigiKitten, now this.. Anybody had the suspicion that their downtime had anything to do with their link posted here? :borg:

I think you're reading too much into that. Anywayz, my Avatar and card are now over there, and both seem to be working just fine. :D

Greetings, could sombody please host this image on their site so I can link to it please. ;)

Ive checked all those sites and they're a pain in the butt, even that villagephotos website has stopped web linking until they upgrade their systems. Please could someone spare a measly small amount of space on their site to host me avator. :(

I have a question concerning my avatar. I hadn't been on the site in a while and when I logged in a couple days ago I had a private message saying my avatar violated the rules in it's size and format. My avatar was 80x80 pixels and only a little over 1,400 kb in size. I decided to try putting up another one of my avatars which was also 80x80 and not much larger than the first and today came on the site to find another private message saying once again that my avatar was removed because it violated the rules. Can anyone help me and tell me what I need to do or is it something wrong with the system? I've looked in the FAQ and haven't found anything to help me out. I'd appreciate any help anyone can offer me.

The size of your avatar is fine but your file size is too large. 1400 KB is over 1 MB which is rejected by Autoadmin. You need to reduce your file size to less than the file size limit which is set at no more than 32 KB. Graphics editing programs, such as Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro, will do this for you. Check them out.

How can I make an animated avatar?

I have the pictures, I "just" need to add them together to make a gif. Is there any downloadable software or could there be an appropriate program hiding somewhere in the depths of my computer?

Hi, ok, i'll just get this out of the way first, i am a total retard when it comes to things like this, and thats sugar coating it. So what do i have to do to get my avatar of Garak, i know where the pic is, and i have a strong desire to know and learn how to do this, so if you could help a friendly moron like me, i will be forever in your debt.

Those links (at KeyScreen) seem to be broken right now, but I was able to download this from IDP-Integrated Data Processing - they have a freeware page.

I have some on my avatar site. Click on the link in my signature below. :)

To find out how to 'use' an avatar have a read of these instructions.

An easy to use site for uploading your avatar so that you can link to it is this one.
