The title pretty much says it all. I thought I'd heard they'd had something big planned regarding the Doctor Who 50th anniversary for this year's Comic Relief, yet Red Nose Day has come and gone, and I've seen nothing about anything it on YouTube or elsewhere. All I can find is a clip of Smith in his Doctor suit avoiding the flirtatious advances of Claudia Winkleman during a little bit of sthick about the anniversary being in 3D. Did I miss something? A prequel mini-ep for the upcoming mid-season premier? An extended season trailer? Anything?
There's nothing that says they have to do something, and it may be that they're saving doing something for children in need later in the year?
You're right... I'd misremembered an interview with Moffat. I thought for sure he'd promised "something very special" about the 50th for "Red Nose Day", but it was "Children In Need". My bad.
Awesome. I heard that Matt Smith was involved w/ that sketch, but didn't know for sure that it was as The Doctor. Hopefully someone posts it on YouTube, as The Doctor preventing the birth of Jedward is something I'd really love to see.
And... that was wonderful. Just saw it. Loved The Doctor, as well as everyone's reactions to Vanessa Redgrave's perfectly audible voice-overs. [yt]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4doJ-9qYWl8[/yt]
I thought it was terrible, it was very clear that Matt Smith wasn't actually there. Having said that, he did turn up live during the night (as the Doctor and then I think later as himself) messing around with the presenters.
Same here, which is precisely why I so enjoyed seeing that show ridiculed and made fun of. Very enjoyable.
I had no idea such a show existed other than the title has popped up here and there. I still found the sketch amusing.
