Hi Star trek fans called Trekkie & Stargate fans - Gaters do you know about others? how for example Galactica fans called?
Firefly fans are Browncoats. Babylon 5 fans are "People of Infinite Discretion and Taste" (old joke, sorry) or sometimes 'Fivers'.
Whovians is a term used for Doctor Who Fans. MSTies (pronounced MIS-teez) used by some fans of Mystery Science Theater 3000...
Farscape are 'Scapers Not sure I recall ever hearing a nickname for BSG Fans? I suppose Capricans or Galacticans would probably work, but, I don't think I've heard them used
Wait, I though B5 fans were "Lurkers." Enterprise and Voyager fans are "Idiots." (I KID!!! I KID!!!! )
I've seen Star Wars fans called "Warsies" on this board. Which is the stupidest nickname ever, but it is out there.
I don't think I like anything enough to want to add an "er" to the end of the name and call myself one.
As someone old enough to remember when the" Trekker"/"Trekkie" debate was fresh, call me anything but late for dinner, I don't care...
I wouldn't call most LotR fans "Hobbits", though. Calling someone a Hobbit on the internet seems to generally be meant as an insult
I know the fangirls drooling after Benedict Cumberbatch call themselves Cumberbitches. Which is damn cute.
I've seen some Supernatural fans called themselves "SuperFans." Twilight fans are know as "Twihards" (or just "teenagers.") Not a science fiction show, but fans of the show Cooper are known as "Copperheads"--which I thought was clever, given the historical context. I know a few LOTR fans who call themselves "Ringers."
Streepers and Mirrenites rather obvious. Is there a collective noun for Dune fans? (and no, not Buggies, though that might work for Starship Troopers ).
