Sorry, I'm not going to watch the preview first in crappy youtube quality.

I'll wait to see the teaser when it is shown with TDKR. :p ;)

Let's see it posted officially on the U-Tubez already.

From what I can see so far, it looks great, promising in fact, and I eagerly await this.

However, that music is dullsville to me: just your basic cue-dramatic moody "classical music" that they use in movies these days. I hope there'll be some music that's more inspired, original, energetic, uplifting, and inspiring; maybe they're holding that back for now.

The music is Zimmer. It's "Journey to the Line" from "The Thin Red Line". I thought it was appropriate given the "Batman Begins" vibe.

Ah, thanks. I thought it sounded awfully familiar.

We'll have to agree to disagree about it being appropriate. I've already seen Batman Begins; I'd like to see something new. But I'm still looking forward to this.

Wow, very cool. As expected, it looks like the takeoffs are going to be more Smallville-style than the graceful style of the Reeve films.

Love the general tone though, and the gritty, real world look of it all.

I hate to admit it, but as a fan of SR I have to say Snyder and Nolan seem to be exploring the alienation theme in a MUCH more interesting and compelling way than Singer did.

Singer talked a lot about that idea beforehand, but his actual movie only touched lightly on the subject, and you pretty much had to read between the lines to see anything more.

But in this teaser Superman already comes across as MUCH more real and human. I know not everyone loves that concept or wants to see him that way, but I for one hope this movie finally does the idea justice.

Good point here. I cannot wait to see this trailer in much higher quality when TDKR comes out next week.

I have to be honest: when it was revealed the villain was Zod again, I was a bit underwhelmed. But it certainly looks like a fresh big screen take on my favorite superhero.

Next summer will be a fun one to say the least.

When I was much younger, I'm pretty sure I went to the movies, once or twice, just to see the trailers. That was pre-Internet, and certainly pre-YouTube.

I wonder how many people will see TDKR, either the first, second, or other time, primarily in order to see the MoS trailer. I'll see TDKR either way, but I guess the MoS trailer makes it all the more special, like it was back in the day.

I doubt it. Nothing against this movie or the trailer. But for the reason you said, its easy to see trailers online now. It would be an added bonus to see a trailer again with a film you want to see again. I doubt many would only go for a trailer though.

Actually buying a ticket and leaving? Or sneaking in while seeing a film in another theater? That I am sure happens a lot.

Between a shitty looking costume and the sense of the film emulating the recent Batman trilogy in tone (rather than going for its own thing) I'm not feeling encouraged.

Yeah, that's my thought. I started to watch it and then decided to stop myself.

Yeah, the days of buying a ticket to Wing Commander just to see the trailer for The Phantom Menace are long gone.
