Is there any detailed info about this class of warbird? Im having a hard time finding specific info about it, which sucks because IMO its the sexiest Romulan warbird yet.

It's not a favorite...It's form has alot of uselessness to it....especially it being so thin.

TrekCore had a good-sized concept art of the Valdore in the Nemesis section, but as far as actual information, I'm not really aware of anything. Which is too bad, since I as well think it's one of the cooler alien ships we get to see.

The recent run of novels identify the Valdore as being a Mogai Class Warbird after a large predatory bird on Romulus.

The customizable card game calls the Valdore a Norexan Class Warbird.

There are about three different names for it.

 It is IMHO the sexiest ship in the Star Trek Universe. Unfortunately as it has only made one appearance on screen there is not much known about it. Sure I read somewhere it was a lot more mobile than the slow and cumbersome D'deridix Class. But I can remember where

I seem to recall Norexan being the canon name supposedly, though I prefer Valdore myself. Norexan sounds like a brand of cough syrup. :p

I usually refer to it as "Valdore-type". I'd love it if there were an official canon class name, but I doubt there ever will be. I really like that ship.

    That was funny.

    The D'Derridix had more girth.
    Difficult to disable.
Highly manuverable for a ships of it's size
    Incredibly powerful.
    Highly intimidating.

The Norexean looks and is fragile.
It's too big and easy to hit to have shields that weak.
That's a ridiculous wingspan and not enought weapons.

Design wise I don't really care for it.
It would have worked better as a bird of prey. It would have been fast mauverable and powerful and dominating in numbers

    The look is...ok
    It doesn't displease me personally.

Hmmmm. The Valdore/Mogai looks almost Klingon.

Because those tiny struts between the head and the wings on the Warbird don't look fragile. :p

I've never thought that the Warbird looks "intimidating", sorry. It always felt ungainly and "blagh" to me.

So the Valdore is basically just the upper-half of a Warbird (except for the bow area)... heavily revised in some areas, but that's just about what it reminds me of.

    Cheers,

Looks are decieving. The Warbird is massive at 1,000+ meters long.

and very intimidating. Sporting the fire power to vaporize whole ships.

    Looks are free.... :techman:

Maybe the Norexean-class ships are more like fast destroyer/cruisers while the D'Derridex-class ships are more like the heavy battleships/troop carriers.... :vulcan:
