Hmm shades of Yuriko/Stryker. Speakin' of Yuriko, she's the love interest in this right? I guess it would go against what X2 established with them not even recognizing each other. I guess with good reason, she was brainwashed and Logan having memory problems.
Explaining about what? It's been known for a long time that "The Wolverine" would be ignoring "X-Men Origins: Wolverine". That still seems to be the approach that Marigold is going in.
Admiral: re-read the variety quote and then the jackman quote. they completely contradict one another. the Variety quote says the movie will focus on Wolvy investigating his past cause of the amnesia, then the jackman quote goes on to say they are letting go of the amnesia angle. so, which one is it?
Obviously there is some bad reporting going on or they haven't completely figured out their story yet which is logical since the script has being rewritten or was as of a few weeks ago.
I don't think 20th Century Fox will allow a theatrical R-rated Wolverine film. Maybe for DVD/Blu-Ray, but the theatrical release will be PG-13.
^^^ The lack of blood on his claws is just painly obvious at moments like in X2 where he's stabbing those guys in the shoulder, foot etc and no blood AT ALL is on his claws. The instance that sort of slows down and he jabs the guy against the fridge, very obvious then.
They can't show blood because FOX wants the PG-13 so badly. A R rating means less money for FOX. It is what it is.
Maybe it's a question of how much they can get away with showing? Because they do show some in a flashback in X2, but then it's not there in other places in the same film where you would expect to see it, like the kills that were mentioned.
