They should have a Chris Hanson in the 23rd Century. Wasn't she supposed to be only 17? Shame on you Captain. You're twice her age.
What a great episode. Classic early Season 1 trekking. Barbara Anderson, is fantastic too. I have no idea if it was intentional or not, but all through the episode, Lenore has that "bunny boiler" vibe. But not enough to scream knife wielding lunatic. Great stuff - I'm gonna watch this one today. And welcome, Captainslog.
Although Lenore Karidian was 19 years old, "The Consicience of the King" was filmed in late September--which was two months before Barbara Anderson's 21st birthday in late November--which of course made her 20 at the time.
Fair game. And drop-dead gorgeous. I always thought Miss Anderson looked like a cross between Grace Kelly and Ingrid Bergman, two of the greatest beauties of all time.
I've seen that episode many times. And I thought she always said that she was 17. But I've always known that the actress was older. Was a big fan of "Ironsides" in the early 70's. And she was great in that show.
Funny, I never really noticed before, but you're right -- there's something about her performance right from the start that suggests she's slightly off kilter. Lenore never states her age in the episode; the ship's computer does. I don't know what the age of consent is in the UFP, but Kirk would never get involved with a girl who's borderline jailbait!
