I'll be getting the following two books this week:

    -Aquaman #1
-Teen Titans #1 (I'm very curious as to how the plot mentioned in the last page of Superboy is going to play out in this)

No longer interested in Superman after the preview.

We're going with Aquaman and Justice League: Dark this week. I've pretty much already made my decisions with the comics I'm going to continue getting, so Aquaman is going to have to really impress me to consider getting it. I haven't really dug either of Geoff Johns' efforts from the relaunch...

I'm looking forward to picking up Superman and The Flash. These and Action Comics were the only books I was interested in. Hawkman looks interesting, but I'll probably pass on it.

Don't know if anyone has posted to this link or not, but it is a thoughtful and provocative article from a woman's perspective about the way previously powerful female characters are now being handled in DC:

I haven't read the book, but unless there is some strange act that Kori is putting on, the panels that I've seen just look sad.

I read that the other day. It's pretty good and well-reasoned.

So now Jason has slept with Talia and Kori...interesting. The Red Hood is getting around! First his adopted father's long time love interest and now one of his adopted brother's ex girlfriends!

I never read any of the first series in the "old" DCU and it wasn't on my list to try but after looking at this piece at BleedingCool.com I may sample I,Vampire as well.
I have some money to move around now that certain other books have ended/been cancelled. I, Vampire is going to get a try out then.

I think I, Vampire is the one that DC is aiming towards the twilight crowd so I'll be interested to see how it goes down...

Apparently, all 52 #1s have sold out and are going back for second printings if they haven't already.

Even the ones that haven't been released yet...somehow...

Ah, I was just about to post that link. Thanks. :)

And next week, on to seeing how the second issues do?

Watch for a lot of critical crowing about sales drop-offs, when anyone and everyone knows and expects that's going to happen. It'll be interesting to see what titles drop off the furtherest and fastest, though.

I guess that is possible, however, aren't a large part of Twilight's fanbase 30+ yr old women outside the target demo of 8-16yr old girls? I know 7-8 women 30+ who love Twilight but wouldn't think, let alone even know of this book as part of the DC relaunch...if they even know the relaunch is happening.

Those 3 pages on Bleeding Cool were, to me, much darker than any Twilight. Felt more Angel meets Blades son of Underworld.

I'll report back on it after I've read it later in the week. :techman:

I was really looking forward to both of the comics discussed in the article, but I honestly don't know if I can after reading that. I did notice one thing though, when she mentions female superheroes she looked up to it was all Marvel characters. So that got me wondering, is Marvel any better when it comes to this kind of stuff?

Outside of maybe The Flash, I doubt I'll be back for any second issues.

"I, Vampire" they've been promoting as a different kind of vampire story and I believe that it features John Constantaine, I maybe wrong about that but I seem to remember stumbling upon him during an interview with one of the book's writers.
