Makes sense. They are already during a spinoff of The Vampire Diaries too.

I'm expecting the sequel to be about two hot chicks staying in one large city and saving the day.:p

All depends on the execution. You'd better cast well. They caught lightning in a bottle with SPN. Not sure that can be duplicated.

I don't like that it will be someone new in one episode, but it makes sense. The brothers can run into a soul hunter who is a woman doing the same thing as them... blah blah.

I think it makes more sense to introduce a new character as the potential star of a spin-off than to take an already-popular character and force a spin-off upon them. Characters become popular because of their context within a certain show; remove them from that, and they might as well be a different character anyway.

I like the idea of another series set in this universe, so I'm game. I like that it will be more urban, since Supernatural has been pretty rural most of the time.

HA! I just KNEW it would be taking place in one city. The plot reminds me a bit of the Legend of Korra, which was also a spinoff.

Makes sense to set it in a city, but why Chicago?

A nine year old boy and his pet hellhound get into whacky adventures each week that can only be solved by a plucky kid and his invisible dog?

    Mentally? . . . that's debatable.
    Why not Detroit?

It seems like a city with a police response time of about an hour would make a good hunting ground for the supernatural and in need of some monster hunting vigilantes. :techman:

They've been setting it up all season, introducing all the secret societies and whatnot. The Men of Letters were very city-centric in particular.

It will be two hot girls exploring love and relationships and shopping in Chicago while battling monsters and demons.

Think Carrie Diaries crossed with Supernatural.

Maybe one of the girls will be the werewolf girl they let go last season?

Because Kolchak, the Night Stalker, The Dresden Files and Special Unit Two have already shown Chicago has a supernatural underbelly. What does Detroit have, a zombie cyborg supercop?

It will struggle and in a last ditch effort they will have to bring in Felicia Day to boost ratings and make her a series regular if not the main character.

    What?!? One can dream, right?

Cool. I tend to prefer ensembles, so that makes me happy. The more I'm hearing about this the more excited I'm getting.

If "it" can produce another woman of Fred level fatasticalness, I don't care what they call the spinpoff.

And just when you thought it couldn't get any better, everything went blue.
