Wouldn't make for a great film?

Enterprise coming last in this STARTREK.COM contest so far.

Which series would make the best feature length movie?

    http://www.startrek.com/polls

    1. Enterprise - 2031 (19%)
    2. Deep Space Nine - 4071 (38%)
    3. Voyager - 4504 (42%)
Bit of a shame that. Probably the only one I'd like to see, given ENT didn't exactly exhaust its potential.
What would a Voyager film be about anyway? Given its entire premise concerning getting lost in the Delta Quadrant, played out over seven loooooooooooong years? Pop in a few DVDs and you can get a two & a half hour epic. A bit of Caretaker. A few episodes mid-run. Close of Endgame. Job done.

Man I wish it was that easy with Enterprise. Still so much, too much, important moments from history left unexplored. ;)

    An Enterprise film?

Two hours of Archer ignoring T'Pol's advice, getting beat up and the ship being outgunned? I can understand why folks aren't clamoring for a big screen outing.

Ha, I just posted in the Voyager forum that I thought the show would make a good Lost in Space-style one-off reboot movie. The world agrees:cool:

Of the five series, DS9 and Voyager are the two that basically "finished their stories" during the course of their runs. TOS, TNG and ENT (less the last future set episode) continued their adventures.

A Enterprise movie could be set anywhere during Archer's time on the ship, after Broken Bow, outside of the Xindi arc and prior to TATV.

    :)

I dunno, I always thought the Avatar novels would've made a great movie. But between the cost of the TNG cameos, and that DS9 never did have much appeal outside the Trek audience, it's just the stuff of dreams. Same with Voyager really.

As for an Enterprise movie? Not to be harsh, but they couldn't even last seven seasons, why would a movie do any better?

In a way we are getting too see an Enterprise spin-off films in the JJ Abrams continuity, since out of all the shows, Enterprise is the one show that takes place before the two continuities split.

The Avatar novels would have made a great season!

But I'd take a movie too.

Still, you gotta admit that "The Romulan War" would make a great mini-series.

Yes, doesn't matter whose in it either. Tell it from the perspective of a whole new crew and have some great cameos.

If ENT was made into a film the first hour would be building up the suspense and mystery of the temporal cold war, then the second hour would ignore all that entirely and go on a hunt for weapons of mass destruction

People would be confused at why Kirk and Spock wasn't in the movie.

I think the modern audience can cope with such a shock.

Oh yes. Before ENT got cancelled, I was kind of hoping they'd get to that...but the books are fun to read, and at least we're getting something.

Would you have preferred the 60's togas with helmets?

Those togas were made of a fine mesh mail, so they were cool.

Commander Raytas who is that hot man in your avatar?
