Motion picture refit, hands down. The original version and the new version are about the same level for me overall--the first due to how simplistic and silly some of it looks, and the latter because of how ugly some of the choices are.

It's not the refit for me. I really love the original, especially with how it looks in the "remastered" clips. I don't like how the nacelles look on the refit. They just seem to large to me. The original is the best for me.

The refit. It has more character then the original and isn't made of suck like the Star Trek XI version.

You WHORE! For nostalgia, I still prefer the very first NCC-1701. TMP refit is second best, while the latest is third best. I don't understand the hate for the new one. Sure, there are differences, but just think of it as yet another refit. In all honesty, I like most of the Enterprises. -- RR

For me the refit generally just barely beats out the original, although I go back and forth between the two. The nu-Ent on the other hand just looks awkward and unbalanced and just doesn't work for me at all.

Asking me to choose a favorite ship is like asking a parent to choose a favorite child. I refuse to make such a heartless Hobson's Choice.

The refit design is the best in my opinion, though the original has it's charm. The new design is just an abomination.

In those stills, if the new Enterprise had it's nacelles further apart, I'd vote for that in an instant. In motion, it also gets my vote. The Refit is a clean nice model, but not quite there. I'm not voting for the TOS Enterprise, though I appreciate it is the daddy of them all, but I can't force my vote just for that alone (can't even say nostalgia, since both that and the refit were roughly as familiar to me as each other).

The unbalanced-ness works for me, in a way. Because its strangely proportioned it averts a problem the other Enterprises had. I remember walking past a promotional one-sheet for TNG when I was younger. There were no words on it, just the Enterpise-D. The person who put it up obviously was not familiar with the show (or wanted to be funny) and hung it upside down. Famously the same problem happened with the original Enterpirse. The head honcho of CBS was commenting on the model's design while holding it the wrong way. ith its narrow engineering hull and giant warp nacelles the new Enterprise does not have that problem. That said, I'm a bigger fan of the original ship.
