A favorite time of the year Halloween is approaching near I've got oodles of candy And my costume looks dandy Wishing all of you frightful cheers! I ran out of geeky ideas this year, so I'm going back to basics. This is going to be my costume later this month, nothing too fancy. So what's yours? Halloween falls on a Wednesday, so I don't expect there'll be too many parties during the workweek. Our engineering department will host the usual potluck, which I will be attending. Any plans? What say you?
I'm probably going to go to the climbing gym near Halloween, so I need a costume that will work with a harness and doesn't give my belay person inappropriate views.
^Aw...that could be adorable! I am going to be Sherlock Holmes. I was hoping to find the right capalet coat to use as a feminine version of the Inverness cape, but they were too expensive. At a thrift store, though, I found a grey wool double breasted cape that will do well enough, for only $28!
Around this time in October As far as I can remember This thread I always start For all folks to take part But by all means, feel free, Ms. New Yorker. OK, I'll let you do it next year, tsq.
^I fear your memory is as imperfect as your rhyme, as I've started the Halloween costume thread for at least the past two years.
All I'm doing on Halloween is handing out candy, so I'll just don my LOST Dharma outfit: Dharma t-shirt, khakis, dogtags.
I'm going to be Groucho Marx this year. I haven't gotten my glasses or baggy suit yet, but here is a picture of a quick test we did a few days ago with my face makeup. I'm considering going a bit more out on a limb and picking up a pith helmet for the Animal Crackers Captain Spaulding look.
My boyfriend and I will be Stan and Wendy from South Park... simple costume...easy to make...and eerily accurate actually..
I'm hoping to go as Merida from Brave. I found a pattern for a dress that's very similar- my mom will help me make it. I thought about going as Hawkeye, but that would be a little weird.
If all goes right, and I make no promises, I'm going to be a fairy. I hear you snickering in the back.
We like doing whole family dressed up as a theme. Last year we did Mickey Mouse Club House and this year we're doing Peter Pan. So my oldest son Ian will be Peter Pan. My son Aaron will be Captain Hook, my daughter Kira will be Tinker Bell, my wife will be Wendy and I'll be Mr. Smee.
^I love a good group costume. When my nephew was newborn (he was born October 6th), my sister and her husband each dressed in original series Star Trek uniforms and they dressed Liam as a tribble! It was great!
