Only this week I was reminded of this minor classic from the late 80s: [yt]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1vGpdM3qG84[/yt]
I can't believe how many of those I remember! I loved "Let's Go All the Way" and "Don't Disturb This Groove".
I looked up Toni Basil who did "Mickey" in 1982 after she came up in a discussion with a friend. She's 67 this year (23 days younger than my dad) and was 39 when the song came out - couldn't believe it
When I posted a thread about one hit wonders, there was a lot of blowback because artists have a different number of hits depending on the country. For example, David Hasselhoff has zero hits in the USA, but he's got a few overseas.
On the other hand, this one actually was a one-hit wonder, it being literally their only single: [yt]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gfYZ-b3D43w[/yt]
Not sure if it qualifies as a one hit wonder, but I recently rediscovered this old track and was instantly catapulted back to the days of green desktops and white bees.
