^ I didn't really notice that. The stadium was fairly crowded the whole game I was there. I didn't notice any mass exodus (even though the Dodgers lost the game). The only such exodus that I did see was my first game in Pittsburgh, where the Pirates were having their asses handed to them by the Cardinals (PNC Park was sold out initially, but half the stadium emptied by the end of the game).
I recently went on a trip to Austria, Germany, and Switzerland with my family. I posted these (and more) on FB, but I thought I'd post a few here as well.
^Where in Austria and Germany? I visited Germany (Around Munich/Bavaria) and Austria (Salzburg and along the German border) almost 20 years ago. Looks like the pictures you posted, except it was in the winter.
Vienna, then Munich, then on to Switzerland. Most of those pictures are from Switzerland, actually. Munich was a lot of fun and Vienna was stunning.
They also do city tours when they can. They gave us tours of L.A. and San Francisco on this trip I just took. The one in SF was my favorite - a 'duck tour' (it goes through the city as a car, then goes down into the water and takes you around the Bay). I must confess, though, that I didn't care much for L.A. I definitely could not live there. Not just because of the traffic, which of course was brutal, I just didn't enjoy L.A. as a city (especially all that crap around Hollywood Boulevard - I could not get out of there fast enough). But Dodger Stadium was so awesome, it made it all worth it.
Nah, she's used to me rambling on with friends, and she also knew it was part of the package deal that came with her 16th birthday present. Actually, my daughter and I have long, rambling talks like that as well. She's a great young woman, and I'm a lucky mom.
Got some much better shots of the blue moon tonight. Even got to watch the ISS fly over as I was taking the shots.
Ah, no. It's a sølje, a part of the bunad, which is the norwegian folk.. clothing.. Stuff. But this one isn't a real one, we were told to design our own.
My mom has a swarm of hummingbirds in her back yard every day. They don't care to stand still for long, but I finally got the shot.
Well, this is what happens when I'm away from home for a few days, I miss a lot of stuff! Kestra, fantastic pic! I have one of me and the wax statue of Freddy from when I was in London a few years back: Sort of got a bit into it... Oh and tsq, you do know what to buttons to push. I am such a huge sucker for women with brightly dyed hair. But it certainly helps when the woman in question is so pretty to start with Ruaidhri, fantastic wedding pics! You both look fantastic
One of my friends wore her bunad to my wedding in Austin umpteen years ago; it was lovely and particularly striking, especially since her husband came in a kilt.
Finished this Star Trek ornament tonight! There are two more to do. The Star Trek Cross Stitch book has the project as pillows, but I'd rather have them as ornaments for my Trek-mas tree. I also made this necklace after finding the pendant while shopping:
YOU. COULD. SELL. THOSE. That is beautiful!! I'll take one of each when you do. Don't hesitate to PM me!!
I can't sell them because I didn't design the chart. That would be stealing! ETA- did you get my second PM, bbbailey? Disregard the first one.
