Did anyone honestly expect one? Last time we had a media released from the BBC, numerous hints by various people (even Ian Levine knew beforehand that nine eps were being released that day) and a media event in which two past companions confirmed they were attending. There wouldn't just be an announcement is time. I would hope the same would be done for other stories when the time came. I'd love to hear William Russell has been invited to an event, cos the main story that he's in that is missing is pretty bloody special.
Philip Morris did a Facebook Q&A today on the missing episodes. I don't want to be one to parse, but these two statements really stand out for me. Makes one wonder.
I can hear Moby Dick stirring in the deep... But honestly, I'd like this to mean that he's on the path to finding the pot of gold, he's just not at the end of the rainbow yet, but he's confident he has got a good scent of the bullion!
If only we could pretend Ian doesn't exist. It's sad really; a 60 year old man who acts like a spoiled 12 year old throwing tantrums when he doesn't get what he wants.
Oh yay, more quotes to be taken out of context and serve as fuel to the fire. Although, it's worth it for that.
This is TIEA's Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Television-International-Enterprises-Archives-Ltd/195920240502348 This is Phil's page: https://www.facebook.com/philip.morris.583671?fref=ufi Can't see the Q&A on either though...
It's on the Doctor Who Missing Episodes Discussion Group, a closed group (who will welcome anyone) Phil is just a member there.
According to their records. But it is a slightly odd comment as part of the current search does seem to rest on checking if the records match reality.
True, given the rumours of an illegal broadcast in the 80s, though it does point to a mass recall of countries in 1974/75 of DW prints being recalled by the BBC.
