So... how big is that ship again? Or did it use its shrinkage beam on the Enterprise?

TBH I think the poster maker(s) have messed up. Someone must have kept saying 'It needs to be bigger... BIGGER'

No way is the Vengeance that big.

OMG! The scales on a poster are all wrong and maybe not an accurate representation of "reality"?
Abrams is pissing on Roddenberry's vision again.

I think it's just to grab people's attention. The majority of people that will be making up Into Darkness' considerable box office haul don't really give a shit as to what scale the ships are.

It looks like they were going for the suggestion of the arrowhead again too.

That ship would have to be about the size of New York City. Win.

With that motion blur, I could almost convince myself that's the TMP Enterprise the Vengeance is chasing. All that's missing is the NCC-1701 on the underside of the saucer...

Not really. In fact, you could almost look at that poster as a metaphor - Roddenberry's vision being chased/fired upon by Hollywood's 'vision.'

The poster is a representation of how big the Vengeance has gotten after Kirk has told his fish story about a hundred times.

"Space was angry that day my friends... like Bones trying to send back soup in the galley. We got about 50 light years from Earth when suddenly, the great beast appeared behind us. I tell you it was 500 stories high if it was a foot!"

I may be saying the ridiculous, but can't the Enterprise outmaneuver the Vengeance in Impulse speeds?

Dialogue in the film and what we've seen in the trailers says Vengeance is twice the size of the Enterprise, so there's a wee bit of creative license going on here.

But .. that's how big the Original Series/classic movie Enterprise would look next to it!

Nope. This is how big it is. And what you saw in the trailer? It's that big as well.

This ship is so bad ass that it can be as big as it pleases.
