    duh!

Haven't seen HoC yet. Kevin Spacey is not usually my cup of tea. I know it was nominated for some emmys... is it "more" than a KS vehicle?

As for the fanfic... I dare not touch it. This story is so complex/layered that I doubt I could tolerate other viewpoints like I do with my other shows.

I think the really big question is, if you Mary Sued yourself into this series who would be your prison wife?

Believe it or not... I can't even contemplate that since I realized this week that Litchfield is modeled on the Fed pen at Danbury, Conn and a former acquaintance ended up there.

Oh well if we start making it too much of a doco I can't have fun with it either since I do know one person doing 10 years.

But you know I read they don't really run their own kitchens and the same meals are served in every prison in the system on any given night. So there's no Red ordering stuff in. So it's fiction. So we can have prison wives.

In Charlie Sheen's sitcom Anger Management a phrase was used "GTIO" : "Gay Till I'm Out.

House of Cards was a successful English series in the 90s.

Updated, tripled in size and Americanisized.

His TV-wife, who seems to be planning every buggers murder always, is played by the Robin Wright.

I don't know how anyone who is so intimately synonymous with the phrase "true love" can have also married Sean Penn.

House of Cards is good, but I mainly mentioned this series because you seem to have found comfort in sitting down for 12 hours until your queue is spent.

Sometimes the delivery system is more important than what is being delivered.

The other, other show "Hemlock Grove" however is arduous twaddle.

Youtube for the werewolf transformation, the wolf eats it's way out. It's frakking disgusting, but the ongoing drama is duller a princesses and ponies birthday party.

I enjoy tv better all in big hits rather than every week. It loses momentum for me now if I have to wait that long, I would rather do it in chunks.

I know I could live with a week in between but summer break? Come on....really? and when the season finale was a cliffhanger...hell.

If actors were paid less, they would work more.

All season finales are cliffhangers! I am still getting used to these 13 ep deals. Spent too long watching endless 22+ seasons of Trek.

All I have to add to this discussion is...Who knew Mulgrew could act? Halfway through the show and enjoying her character, she's killing it!

Here's a couple pics from Mercy that flickr wouldn't let me post last night, KM was very funny in that:

And of course her role in NTSF was pure comedy :D

Kate Mulgrew can certainly act. Anyone who says otherwise was not paying attention.

    Make up your fricking mind!

I said "I might give Mercy another try."

You say "No don't, it's slop."

And now you're baiting me again!?

I said everything but Mulgrew's character was slop!

And believe it or not and I know no one will believe it but I'm not just saying that about Mulgrew's character because of Mulgrew. It really was a great, brief, character.

I don't suppose there's a fic in there involving an attractive blonde bombshell, who conveniently looks like Jeri Ryan, being incarcerated for a minor crime and attracting Red's eye?

Ummm, if Piper Chatman caused a sensation in the shower with her rack... it boggles the mind  to consider what would happen if JR was in the bathroom.

ETA: Lets make JR a guard!

    What rack?

Sorry, could not resist. ITTY BITTY TV TITTIES!

And I think your suggestion of making JR a guard is the most beautiful thing I've ever read JRulez, it has made me very happy.

Teacake, I'm going to watch Mercy just to see Kate haha. I didn't know it was on Netflix, but when I searched just now I saw it is. She's not listed as a main character, so I assume she is just recurring?

Drunk Mommy to the hard as nails charge nurse who writes her own rules.

Problem was that Mercy Debuted about almost the same time as Nurse Jackie started.

    There can be only one.
