Star Wars Holiday Special versus "These are the Voyages..." That's a tough one!

 

Not going to happen. Not only because of productions costs, but also because the actors have other commitments now (hasnt Bacula just signed a new TV series?). You very likely wont get the cast together again.

 

This. And not all shows shows should be rebooted so long after cancelation. Season four Arrested Development, anyone? And that was a show its producers gave a shit about and the actors weren't phoning it it the first go around. That show also suffered from working around the actors' various schedules and as a heavily ensemble show, this did not end well.

 

If we ever see the 22nd Century again, it should either be

1. A reboot that takes another crack at telling the Birth of the Federation story from the beginning. Or..

2. Keep the events of Enterprise, but it's 10 years later and it's the early days of the Federation. Preferably with something that, if not a full on reboot, is at least a game changer and opens up the future. In other words, the way JJ did with ST '09.

In both cases, a new series. The second option leaves open cameos from the ENT cast. Possibly Admiral Archer can have occasional appearances in an Admiral Forrest like role, other commitments permitting.

 

Let's just throw some of the ENT crew forward in time to the JJverse and get them to hang out there. I'll take T'Pol and Trip and Reed. Trip of course being Not.Dead. Reed is horrified by.. something.. and joins up with Section 31 again.
