I think she'll lose the lano suit and at the end she'll say "The suit is destroyed and we'll never be able to recreate it yadda yadda yadda"

We should have an option on the vote like

"Its so bad you want Superboy to ret con punch it"

Yeah, I was so amazed when they didn't kiss. Every scene those two are in together seems to end with them on the verge of kissing.

So did Milfred lay siege to Smallville headquarters and take over the place? This episode seemed like someone reached deep into their colossal bag of festering shit and pulled out the script. God that was awful.

So Kreuk comes back and so far there's been a couple of "Mehs" and this garbage. Coincidence?

What I don't get is, the episode was titled "Power," so does that mean Lana is supposed to be Power Girl? Cuz to have Lana as Power Girl, and Kara on the show is just, well, stupid.

I hope she does lose her powers next week, and goes away ... for good.

Actually she looked kinda fat with that double chine and chubby cheeks. That and I CANT WAIT for these stupid Clana episodes to be over with. Kristen is easily the worst actor-actress on the show. And thats saying alot. The hair cutting bit was STUPID. No one can cut their hair with a razor blade or whatever that was in a truckstop bathroom and turn around looking like they stepped out of a Vidall Sassoon commercial...And umm yeah shes gonna kick the crap out of anyone she comes up against? Thuggs, Mrs Tits-smacker it doesnt matter. Even without the suit shes as strong as Schlark...
And Schlark goes from demanding to pleading in 5 seconds. DUMB.
This show needs to be cancelled. Or atleast wrapp it up by the end of this season. Having Kristen come back shows how totally out of ideas they are. Besides they are just raping any superman ideas they can without it actually being superman...
You know what. They have had to put the rest of the season on hold just to get Clanas Lame episodes out of the way. I cant stand her and wish they would quit wasting our time with her. EVERYBODY hates her. Even Othello doesnt have anything good to say about that shitfest of an episode. I wish someone at Smallville would print this thread out and have them all read it at a script reading session so they knew the thruth...EVERYONE hates Clana...

Horrible episode. Smallville backslid years in this one.

The ending just capped it as the worst episode of Smallville in a long time.

The entire Lana arc has been ridiculous and pointless.

End of last season she was gone, with decent reason, and Clark moved on.

This has put us back 2 seasons at least, and for what? What plot point has been wrapped up? None, there was no Project Prometheus we were wondering about.

What character arc had been left hanging that we needed wrapped up? None, Lana had grown and moved on and so had Clark.

The stupid thing is, by pushing Clark back to an adolescent crush, they destroy what character growth they had given him, and in one or two episodes they won't be able to believably retcon him into an adult.

Meanwhile he has totally betrayed the mature emotions he had been developing with Lois and how can he with any seriousness get back to where they were a few episodes ago?

They were a hairsbreadth away from being exactly where they should have been to wrap up the series with cudos all around, and they have destroyed it in one short arc.

    Wow.

If that wasn't bad enough, Clark needs to learn (again) that he isn't God, he shouldn't be controlling people's lives, they have a right to make their own decisions even if he disagrees, and Chloe doesn't betray him by having other relationships that include loyalty. He is being a child, and again here he is regressing several seasons.

This is like a bold statement from the new producers that it was never Gough and Miller who were driving us crazy with endless Clana all these years, there's someone upstairs who thinks these are good stories and is holding a gun to the writer's heads.

Tess is not a good villian. She is has no ambiguity like Lex, Lional and even Dark Lana from last season. It is a joke to see her kick a man to death in one scene, and then have Lana come in and try to talk her out of going down the dark path. Tess has always been down the dark path, and she does pretty much nothing but assault and murder people, and threaten her minions.

If we have to have Clana, then we would be better off with Gough and Miller, who could write excellent villians.

    BIZARRO!

Yes, that was me. I did it. This was an hour of everything I didn't want to see and had thought we had moved past with this season. The only thing that keeps me going is knowing Kreuk will only be around for one more episode. After next week she is gone. And frankly, I really hope they kill her off. That way they can send Clark spiraling down his emotional rollercoaster and then bring back Lois to rescue him. Although I did laugh at the line: "Aww, poor little me. Let me guess how long you've felt sorry for yourself. Your whole life?" Nailed it!

Oh and one more thing: Tess = Stompy 2.0

I thought that I already posted tonight but I guess not. This was easily the worst episode of the season so far as I feel like we reverted three seasons into the past. No offense to Kirsten, I don't personally share the views that everyone does about her acting, a lot of convuluted plots and bad writing plays into what she can do as Lana. I'm glad that this is all finally going to be over. I pretty much agree with Lax Scrunity and I don't think that happens all that often ;). Was the prometheus suit suppossed to be a Smallville version of the purple, green battle suit?

Next week on Smallville : Ioalus dies, The Source is resurrected, Frank Burns gets paranoid and screws up an operation, Harriet Oleson meddles and gossips, a new Death Star is built, Picard apologizes for Bad Humanity, Eric gets set up by Donna, Hyde and the others, and Megan gets the better of Drake and Josh. All of these shocking twist surprises are revealed to be merely part of Apocalypse's master plan.

Also, our new theme song : "You go back-Jack-do it again; Wheels turning round and round..."

    Yes.

After sleeping on it, I gave this one Bizarro. It was really bad, and I really feel sorry for poor Ally having to direct this cluster-fuck. I agree with most of what's said above here: This single ep set the show back by 2 - 3 seasons. This year started off with a bang and finally started moving Clark on the right track.

It's been trashed now. I have nothing against Kristen, but bring Lana back serves the story no purpose whatsoever. And we're still not rid of her.

All the potential this season was showing, right down the drain.

Phineas and Ferb are my antidote to D+J, not to mention the later seasons of Dexter's Lab, and the middle seasons of Wings.

A premise can be dragged too far. This isn't even a new Clark/Lana relationship, based on their growth. This 'visit' by Lana is turning into the 'visits' by Odie (remember when he had a different owner?) and Nermal in Garfield.

Besides Chloe also backsliding into Clarked-on guilt, why wasn't she more upset about the kiss? Just last week, she warned Clark not to let her cousin get cut by the triangle Clark/Lana were rebuilding. The one thing I ever really give Clark shit for is how he treats Chloe. Much of the rest of his so-called 'whining' I toss into a pile I call 'They Didn't Always Know', ala Luke, Buffy, and others who reached teendom and then were told 'By The Way....'. But my gut tells me that, when Chloe is gone, as it seems must happen in the grand finale, Clark will dedicate Superman's career to her memory. It will be a tragic flaw in our greatest hero, but a workable one, IMO.

Instead of bringing back Kristen for a handful of episodes to once again wrap up the Clana drama they should have just let things be with the video at the end of last season. As Clark pointed out...he's got his life moving towards the things he needs to be doing without her.

Oh about Tess...I never really thought she was meant to be a villian in the traditional sense so I guess that some of the things Lax typed about her are true. She is mainly there as a sort of supporting character for Clark really. They could have done some really cool things with her and I agree that they've stripped everything that they built up with her little girl talk with Lana. See...Lana is destroying all the good nature that this season has built up with her few but impactfull appearences this season! I'm really curious now about how she'll be leaving the show...obviously I'm guessing it won't be with the power suit on and that Clark will save her once again somehow and finally resolve their relationship. This is what we get when Erica is only signed for thirteen episodes! I also thought that Chloe was off to see Jimmy at Star City last episode? They didn't even mention why she hadn't left yet.

See! We agree more than you think!

The sad part too is, they could have brought Lana back and used it to show that Clark had grown up, could care for her as a friend and not regress to a 16 year old. Clark could have smiled at Lana, said hi, and then gone back to dancing with Lois. This would have been a powerful statement about his growth, and also about the producers letting go of the past as much as Clark letting go. Lana's appearance could have had a really posititive spin.

Lana could have had some voting shares stashed away that got forgotten, or been Lionel's heir (that would have been cool) and this arc could have been a Tess/Lana arc that set up a power struggle for Luthorcorp and we could have seen Tess acting a bit Lionelish and sucking up to Lana while she was positioning for control of the empire...

Or not. I'm just saying that Lana could have been used well, and moved the characters forward even further.

Next week it looks like Fake Lex Luthor or "Flex" Luthor.

Tess: "Didn't you wonder how Lana got access to a video camera right after coming out of a coma?

Clark: "I thought a wizard did it."

    Someplace grimey,

Lana: "I'm so out of control, I'll cut my hair in bad lighting using a straight razor...and somehow it won't look like total shit."

    Much later,

Tess: "Oh, yeah, looks like the glaringly memorable necklace my security guy, who happens to be at Luthor Mansion, wears."

Clark: "Good, I haven't had a confrontation/ conversation in Luthor Mansion in the last 12 hours."

    Later but months ago,

    Guy: "I'm a retired teacher."

Lana: "Bullshit. I read the article about you in Soldier of Fortune. I want you to train me."

Guy: "Oh, you also saw my ad on Alt.com."

Lana: "Not like that, you perv!"

    Metropolis,

Chloe: "Clark...don't you think...whatever...why do I bother? Just go save Lana for the 1,000,000th time."

    Very secret lab,

    Assistant: "This is dangerous."

    Scientist: "Duh!"

Tess: "The script says I'm supposed to kill all of you."

Lana: "As if! I got power, girl!"

    Daily Planet early morning,

Nobody: "Hey, Clark what did ya do, spend all night here looking internet porn?"

Clark (to himself): "Wow, that Richard White sure is an ass."

    Obligatory roof top scene,

Clark: "Lana, you had super powers before. It didn't end well."

Lana: "You mean when I had powers like you or when I was a vampire?."

Clark: "Uh...I can't remember. Everyone I know has had superpowers at somepoint. "

[Clark and Lana swap spit at ludicrous speed]

BIZZARO. Smallville has come to the point I cannot sit down and be fully engaged by an episode. The stories are crap, and as pointed out by others here, Kristen Kruek is a horrible actress. I've never liked her (she always looks like she's going to cry). This episode was completely disjointed and had :wtf: written all over it.

I do not see how this show could possibly get a 10th season.

You know the story is totally lame when Shlarck has lines like...
Lana, the "last" time you had superpowers it didnt work out too well.
Umm, Last time. You mean they resorted to this stupid ass story line before? It almost seems like Kristen demanded they put her back in the show cause she had to audition for Chun Li. Either that or she has some real good dirt on a producer or writer. And its totally obvious that she will die in next weeks episode...
