    great minds :D

These boxer-briefs seem to be all the rage. Since when have they been on the market? I haven't encountered any but then I have been living rather celibate this last decade

^They started in the late '90s or early 2000s. I've been wearing them since about 2002 since they offer the airiness of the boxers with the support of the brief in other areas. I particularly like that they have more room in the middle for certain things. Things move around way too much in boxers and briefs feel as tight as a prison cell.

Well, this is a nerd board... :p

I was raised on "tighty-whiteys", and made a gradual transition in college, figuring it was time to dress like an adult.

^good point. I hadn't taken that into consideration.
It's obviousely high time I give up my solitary life and declare the hunting season opened. My knowledge of male undergarnments appears to be quite outdated :D

It looks like we successfully lured a few Briefing Room members out of their lair. And it also loks like the BR must soon be renamed into boxer-briefing room ;)
Also, we have a naturalist among us (very curageous). Personally, I find that a bit uncomfortable in summer - undies take up sweat better than trousers - but I sure appreciate it in (or rather: on) a male as it saves time and effort. One has to be very careful with the zipper, though.

Boxer briefs for me too. I switched to boxers in college because I liked the open leg room, but when boxer briefs hit the shelves, my underpants renaissance truly began.

Boxer-briefs here, as well. I seem to be in good company. A shame the poll is discriminatory.

I wear Under Armour boxers. They give good support for my 54 year old stuff, while keeping things light and airy in the heat. :techman:

Were some of the regulation Starfleet blue underwear on Enterprise boxer-briefs?

I'll admit to being puzzled by some of the new size markings I'm seeing on clothing now. Last time I bought a pair of shoes, I couldn't find a pair marked 9D, only M for medium, whatever that's supposed to fit.

And the last package of briefs I bought (by Hanes) were marked M/M which I'd never seen before, and thought would be medium. But they were made in Vietnam and appear to have been made for Vietnamese men because they don't fit well at all.

    And again.

A good tight fit but with an ample pouch for the General & 2 Colonels.

I even have some bike shorts that have a nice pouch I use for underwear. Longer legs than boxer briefs.

Boxers. This "support" thing that people keep going on about with briefs and boxer briefs is something I want no part of. It makes me feel itchy and I have to constantly make adjustments. As much as I like touching my dangly bits, there's a time and a place, and I'd prefer if it's not constantly and everywhere.

Going Kommander is also an option. It's like going commando, but also involves not wearing pants.

Maybe you're buying them a size too small? :p

Never heard that one before. Back in elementary school, it was the "stick shift and two ball bearings."

Boxer-briefs are the correct answer. If you'd included them in the poll, suspect you'd see they've overtaken both of the traditional styles...

I get a lot of my British-isms from Austin Powers movies.

Boxers. I don't care for briefs and lawyers.
