Why do people keep saying Voyager weakened the Borg?

You don't think Winn had a real choice in a few episodes?

    Did Judas have a choice?

I'm not big on the no-choice, you were destined story line. Or maybe I just want to know that at the end they can all take that helmet off.

Were there prophets in the antitimeline created by the escape the Enterprise C, or McCoy saving Edith Keeler from a traffic accident, or Sisko precipitating the murder of Gabrielle Bell?

Do they only live in one time line, so that when time branches off, they say fuck it and continueon straight ahead ignoring tidal forces?

They don't have time lines. They are not linear.

    choice strings.

a leads to b leads to inescapably c.

Edith Keeler lives, the nazis win the war, mankind dies out, Starfleet is never founded, the federation neither, and Sisko isn't born... And the prophets are sitting in their temple saying "What the fuck happened here?"

They see the universe from beginning to end all at the same time.

    No problem with that.

But there's many universes, and sometimes a universe can be completely reconditioned and facelifted by a little wanton timetraveling and tomfoolery.

The universe the prophets live in is the one that always had those changes destined to happen. Time-travel tomfollery doesn't bother them.

She can't come "back"... BECAUSE she never left in the FIRST place.

    :klingon:

I don't believe in "no choice"...

    :vulcan:

Even if the future is foreseen because someone's actions are predictable, that doesn't mean there was no choice... it just means all the variables were factored in accordingly.

    "This" time.

    :vulcan:

But variables are... after all... variable.

That's why they play the game, even after all the bookies have set the odds.

Sfdebris is better than what little I've thankfully seen of ConfusedMatthew and RedLetterMedia (his overrated, plodding PT reviews) and he has done many positive reviews of Voyager episodes. Do you think how (subjectively) good a character has no bearing on the rest of the production? And Chuck has no real dislike for Kate Mulgrew as an actress.

I just want her to say something like "Where the hell are my grandbabies" to Myka next season on Warehouse 13.

Joanne Kelly, mmmmmmmmmmmm. Now that's what I call beautiful

I am watching Warehouse 13 now but only on season 1 (almost done) so please please, no spoilers without spoiler space. Decided to watch from the beginning for the full Mulgrew effect. It's surprisingly good, the acting and main characters being much more interesting than the plots.

How could you have sidestepped this bollocks as well?

Were you in a "relationship" with someone who made you waste too much time watching Greys Anatomy?

I have been very busy watching all of Stargate, Stargate Atlantis and Stargate Universe. This has taken me rather a long time.. finally took a break to watch some shows actually made this decade.

I saw 12 episodes of the Secret Circle yesterday.

I think I'm sprouting a tiny little vagina.

I bet you've seen every episode of Charmed.

    I'm right, aren't I.

    recently.

Got through the lot of it "again" in a couple weeks, about 6 months ago.

But I haven't bothered with the season 9 comic books.

So a question presents itself to the masses who inhabit this particular board-

how would YOU have written the Borg to be better than they were portrayed on VOY.

Show a couple episodes where Voyager has to run away.

(Janeway said in an episode that she was sick of running away and hiding, but we never saw it.)

Or an episode where they're on silent running hiding in an ocean as a Borg convoy passes by very slowly.

Sheridan spent years running from the Shadows.

O'Niel couldn't do Jack (Look! It's a Pun!) against the Goul'd or the Ori in the beginning.

Obviously not invincible, the Borg are still a vastly superior technological species with the fire power and man power to dwarf anything Kathryn can muster but she treated them like bullies on a school yard, rather than bullies invading Poland.

Borg storylines it would have been wonderful to see:

    1. Chakotay is assimilated and never returns.

    2. The Doctor grows breasts on Neelix and he becomes wet nurse to the borg baby. One episode devoted to Naomi's sibling rivalry issues that this creates.

    3. Have 7 remain bald and damp looking for half a season. Deal with the crew's fear of her.

Oh, have a crewman ask to be assimilated, or at least up graded.

"i want to be stronger and faster and smarter, and you can make all those things and more... Otherwise Janeway is going to get me killed like half my friends form the lower decks... Could I have one of those personal forcefields? That would be amazing... Please, I don't want to die."

I think a knowledge addict might very well want to get assimilated. You're plugged into the biggest database ever.
