The first evening of the "Duty Bound" shoot is now complete, and it was a good experience. Bill Mackenzie's story boards were excellent and allowed me to set up the shots he wanted quickly. We were also delighted to add Jason Ryan Wallace to the cast as Ensign Sonaj, the third shift communications officer; Kim Landers as Lieutenant Sue Autry, the third shift navigator; and Sara Higgins Mackenzie as Yeoman Ziandra Yanari, a Trill who works in the engineering department. Returning for this vignette as Jeffrey Green as Captain Alec Grigory, G. Douglas Harper as Chief Helmsman Mike Delaney, Hannah Ruiz as Science Officer Doreen Spampinato, Chris Coleman as Engineer Drew Wallace, and Richard Hope Thornton as Security Chief Darrell Frazier. Linda Marcusky also appears as the third shift Science Officer. The episode is being directed by Bill MacKenzie. Filming continues Saturday, January 14th at 10:00am.
The cast of "Duty Bound" (S02-A) wrapped shooting on the bridge set this afternoon. Next month, we'll conclude the filming of the episode in the ready room set.

Won't be too much longer of a wait. Right now, we're finishing up S01-D "Delivery" and S01-E "Miscommunication."
Been a busy weekend already here. We finished filming the epilogue to S02-A "Duty Bound" Thursday night in our Ready Room set. Tonight, we filmed S02-B "Darkness" in our Transporter Room set and against the green screen. Pics and details to be posted sometime tomorrow at our website, our FaceBook page and in this thread.
Our home page has been updated with a news article on this weekend's shoots of "Duty Bound" and "Darkness" including some pictures. Also, Bill Walker's been hard at work on our digital engineering room. Here's the composited shot: And here's Bill on the green screen for "The Engineer's New Clothes":
We're pleased to announce that this weekend, we'll be releasing "Delivery" to YouTube and Vimeo. This 5min 14sec vignette features Steve Gallant, Stephanie Burke and Jeffrey Green, was written by David Eversole, edited by Rick Foxx, and directed by Randy Landers. The Potemkin has arrived at Harper's IV to investigate the loss of subspace communications with a new colony. Lt. Cmdr. Chuck Richards has beamed down with a landing party of five to determine what has happened...

Here's Bill Walker's latest work on the digital engineering set: http://www.youtube.com/embed/O2_EYjlkO80 If anyone can embed the video, I'd appreciate it!

Just a brief update: 1) Bill Walker and Bob Reed are working on VFX for "Miscommunication" and "Engineer's New Clothes" at this time. Chris Cameron will also be contributing VFX to "New Clothes." Alex Patrick Merrill is working on the VFX for "Archway." Both Alex and Chris are newcomers to our VFX team! 2) Mario Pagan has finished a good edit on "The Devil in the Details." VFX will be assigned shortly. 3) Rick Foxx is hard at work on editing "The Night the Stars Fell from the Sky." An extensive list has been prepared detailing the needed VFX and SFX for the episode, along with the pick-ups we'll be scheduling for May and June. 4) Randy Landers and Bill MacKenzie are working on the editing for "Duty Bound." Randy is also working on the editing of "Darkness." 5) David Eversole and Randy Landers are working on the third draft of "Second Contact," the third vignette to be shot this season. We're still working on a few more scripts. Our plan is to concentrate on vignettes this summer, and possibly one episode. We're looking for locations for that episode. 6) Lastly, we're working on a couple of shots involving a camera mounted on a helicopter. We're excited about the prospect!
Been a busy week capturing and cataloging footage for S02-A "Duty Bound," tightening up the edit on S02-B "Darkness," and securing a venue for a local exhibition of our episodes/vignettes in May. Here's a few screen captures: Sara Higgins-MacKenzie as Yanari Jeffrey Green as Captain Grigory and Featuring Bill MacKenzie as Caley, Chris Coleman as Wallace, and Sara Higgins-MacKenzie as Yanari. The images will be color corrected later; just a quick preview of some of the footage.
Looks promising! Interesting that you are using a Trill in the TOS Movie era. Are they Federation members yet, or a new, outside species? Even in TNG, the crew had none, and they did not seem very familiar with 'joined' species. Looking forward to the film!
Actually, there's support for the inclusion of Trills in Classic Trek. During DS9's "Trials and Tribble-ations," Dax tells Sisko on the bridge of the Enterprise that she had met Doctor McCoy in one of her earlier incarnations and thought he had the hands of a surgeon.
Quite so. The true nature of the Trills will be withheld, and Yanari's backstory is an interesting one.
Just an update on things: 1) "Doctor's Orders" and "Delivery" were both reviewed this weekend by Randy Hall of fanfilmfollies. The reviews are quite nice. 2) "Miscommunication" is in the final stages of the VFX work. We hope to release this episode in May. Bill Walker and Chris Cameron are working on the VFX. I've done the edit. Steve Gallant will be doing the sound. 3) "The Engineer's New Clothes" is still receiving VFX work from Bill Walker and Chris Cameron and Bob Reed. The edit's been done. Steve Gallant will be doing the sound. We currently anticipate a June release. 4) "Archway" is receiving VFX work from Alex Patrick Merrill. Rick Foxx is doing the edit. We will be filming a pickup shot for this episode in the coming weeks. We hope to have a July release for this episode. 5) "Devil in the Details" has been finished, editing-wise, by the director, Mario Pagan. VFX have been assigned to Mark Brunner for this episode. We think that August is an optimistic release date. 6) "The Night the Stars Fell from the Sky" needs a pickup shot. Rick Foxx is editing this full-length episode which was directed by Jeffrey Green. This will be an extensive VFX project, and we're going to call upon all our VFX artists to help complete it. 7) The second season premieres with "Duty Bound" which is still being edited. We have a pickup shot scheduled for the coming weeks. VFX work on it is TBA. 8) "Darkness" is almost complete, editing-wise. The VFX work is up next. 9) Filming is being scheduled for "Second Contact," which should take one day for the most part, and one evening for the epilogue. 10) June's shoot will be for "Score Card" (another vignette). 11) July's shoots will be for "Beach Towel" and "The Shovel of Kahless," a couplet of vignettes which tell one story. 12) August's shoot will be for "Malice" (another vignette). That pretty much gets everything updated. We are accepting story ideas for submission for our third season (10 episodes planned). If you're interested, please contact us for a release which must be signed and returned to us PRIOR to your sending the story/script in for consideration. Cast members continue to be in flux; if you'd like to come aboard, please let me know!
