While I didn't think much of Attack the Block (I give it a 6 out of 10) I did think John Boyega, a young Denzel Washington clone, did pretty good for what he was given. I'm intrigued to see that he is up for the lead in the new trilogy. While I don't blame J.J. Abrams entirely for the many flaws of the new Star Trek films - Orci, Kurtzman, Lindendorf I'm looking at you! - and I didn't think much of Super 8, I am still looking forward to seeing what Abrams is going to do with the new Star Wars films. He - Abrams - is working with Lawrence Kasdan, who scripted the near-perfect Empire Strikes Back, so he is off to a good start. http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=115922
Who isn't up for a lead in the new Star Wars? It's time for Kennedy and Abrams to make a decision and announce the gorram cast already! Aren't they supposed to be shooting next month?
Justice League, er, Batman vs. Superman is supposed to be shooting sometime this year....and it seems like the script and cast are still in the works for that particular film. So many big films coming out, and obviously some competition. It'll be interesting to see the final products. Make sure to stay off of Trektoday, and focus on doing well with that 'audition'...
Gonna slam some red bulls before I go. And I'm bringing my own lens flares. I think I'm totally gonna nail this audition.
I'm onboard with both him and Jesse Plemons. I like that they seem to be targeting good character actors.
