The Saga shots are magnificent. I was starting to feel the need to visit the Blue Ridge Mountains just by looking at those pictures (not sure which mountains you're photographing; just sayin'). Also, the closeups are stunning.
I'm embarrassed to post my crappy snapshots after all these beautiful photos, but they're all I have. Some shots of the Innerspace Cave in Georgetown Wednesday night bat-watching in Austin. Of course, when the bats do come out, it's too dark to get any good photos with a crappy camera like mine, but here's an idea of the crowds on a weeknight:
thanks for the kind words guys. and those cave pics look great auntiehill. i love exploring caves and cave photography certainly isn't easy.
^yeah! Auntiehill, those are great The second cave picture reminds me of those things used to create the illustrations in Future Imperfect
My favourite cave is a dripstone cave with lots of bats. The entrance is halfway up a very very steep hill. After the worst part of the way there's this sign saying: "you made the climb! Only 5 minutes to the cave!" Some dripstones have really crazy shapes. This is the petrified gorilla =)
Re: This is me. That is You. Post your photo: Weekend before last I was at the Summer BBQ of the Bay Area chapter of the Visual Effects Society (VES) and ended up standing next to effects animator and filmmaker Peter Kuran (link).
I've really got to get off my butt and go through all the pictures I've taken in the last month or so, but here is one of my sister taking my daughter for a ride on a kayak at our cottage. Edited to add a few more pics. Two loons out on our lake who were doing a lot of diving. I must have startled them. The super moon rising over the lake.
OK, double post time since this picture isn't related to the last bunch. Here's my daughter standing inside a giant bubble at the Gazillion Bubble Show. This was taken before the show but my daughter was lucky enough to be called onstage for one part of the act where she got to run through a storm of bubbles all by herself. It was pretty awesome.
^^ SHE IS ADORABLE! Took some summertime photos in my yard. In New Jersey. It's not all concrete. Some from a party that was held on a lake near where I live. View from my office near the GWB. Can't believe how well this came out... it's like.. the only photo I've ever taken that I am proud of lol.
Greenwood Lake? I'm just guessing, it has been a while since I've been up there so I'm not sure. A friend owns a restaurant up there and I've never been there.
Haha. Nice. Took this outside of Whole Foods in Edgewater. Tried to get a pretty one like this again but the water looks brown (gross!) in most of them.
That was my other guess, I dated a girl from Sparta a long time ago. Use to take Route 80 out to Route 15. My aunt and grandmother use to live in Stanhope.
The third pic of Squiggy's baby is my favorite. "You call that photography, Daddy? Yeah, I'm not impressed."
