Getting ready to run out and grab a little takeout lunch. Don't really feel like cooking anything this afternoon. I just have to decide which restaurant to go to.
I just ordered this cross stitch chart: One of my dad's favorite movies (mine, too). I hope I can finish it before his birthday!
Well, technically I ordered/bought it a while ago but my fibre-optic connection finally got activated today. It's only FTTC but once the connection settles down over the next week, I should get about 75/25 download/upload speeds according to the connection checker the engineer used. Already I'm getting about 50/15. Coming from about 2.5/0.5, the improvement is wonderful. Admittedly, the only benefit I notice is when watching streaming video in HD as I'm a fairly typical user that doesn't do anything else particularly speed-intensive, but it's still nice to be able to watch in HD. No more buffering icon.
^ I've been meaning to do the shopping since Monday and haven't found the time. I'm not quite sure how I'm still finding stuff to eat, actually. I really can't remember putting in half the stuff I've found in the freezer...
OK, got the album and have listened to the whole thing. On the whole, a good album but not as good as "Mad Season" or "More Than You Think You Are." "North" has a slightly more "dance club-ish" sound to it. My favorite songs are Parade, English Town and Sleeping at the Wheel, which are, I think, more introspective & melodic. Put Your Hands Up and Our Song are VERY catchy, but a bit too dance-club style--but I will admit that Our Song is very catchy; it might be one of those songs I like better after hearing it a few more times. Overall, a good album at least three songs are going straight to my MP3 player, but it's still not my favorite MB20 album to date. My two cents.
