Check out the tunnel I made between pyramids, and look at the torches. You'll see what I mean. It's quite odd.
I have some bad news and some good news. The bad news is that Minecraft is addictive and distracting people from their faith. The good news is that, even though it contains the walking undead and a hell dimension, it's not occultic like those evil Pokémons.
Watched that with the volume down for all but a few seconds. Fundies make me stabby. From the look of these people 'a few seconds' looks like about as much fun as they've probably ever had in their sad lives.
With their kind of "logic," anything that doesn't involve praising Jesus is a "distraction." "What're you doing on the toilet? How does that please God? GET OFF YOUR ASS, HEATHEN!"
I read somewhere that there was a Mormon who helped design graphics for Doom. When Carmack (or Romero... Jesus I can't remember any of those people anymore) asked him if he was going to have a problem designing this, he said "No, because the game is about destroying those creatures. Besides, they're just cartoons." That's the most rational viewpoint I've seen on the subject of faith and videogames.
Now thats a healthy attitude. I also have a lot of respect for the church up the street, whos planning a Halloween 'Trunk or Treat' event in their parking lot. Thats the sort of christianity I respect. Anyway, gettign waaay off-topic with all this. So, heres the preliminary texture for the dragon. http://imgur.com/a/5PnQS http://i.imgur.com/FMAhp.jpg You can almost hear the sound of texturepackers scrambling.
I'm assuming the pixel artist they hired doesn't work on Minecraft at all. The dragon texture fits in fine with everything that came before, I guess. I just always assumed the default textures were placeholders until they got around to doing some good ones. But perhaps they just rely on the texture pack community to do it now.
Not bad, but I can always count on my favourite texture pack to have better ones, who've recently added different sheep, cows and chickens.
What I use is Sphax PureBDCraft, which comes in a variety of sizes: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic...-sphax-purebdcraft-aetherzipline-v093-101011/
Seems like there are several people doing their own variations. When a new update comes out, I download a up-to-date texturepack, cut out the new panels and paste them into the proper slots in my Doku texture. God bless Photoshop.
Apparently, there's a customizer where you can pick and choose which icons and everything you want for DokuCraft. It's here.
I usually use Faithful 32x32, but since 1.8 I've just been using default. Anyway: [yt]v=XTpFDRZExAg[/yt]
