I am positive that was a goof. But as sci-fi fans are wizards at rationalizing....

Consider that the former involved Sinclair while the latter involved Sheridan. Two different kinds of leaders, somewhat similar, but still markedly different in personality and leading technique. Maybe Sinclair was more one to toe the line on such things and Sheridan more the type to bend the rules. Or possibly Sinclair DID bend them but we just didn't see it. ;)

So, you're sayin' the differences between the two station commanders is that one allowed for a small garden, while the other made his own baseball field?

Or perhaps by that time they had better estimates of what resources the station actually needed, found they had a bit of extra space, and someone got the bright idea of putting in a ball field.

Come to think of it, trying to play baseball on a rotating station presents a whole range of problems.

The B-Story with sheridan sucked. But i did like the A-Story (the knives in Knives). of course, it was a londo story, so how can i resist :)

    i especially liked the singing

as for the baseball, don't you remember: it was a holosuite program that sheridan got from a vulcan captain

Because B5 is cheap and they couldn't afford a ball boy? :rommie:

Also apologies for my lack of knowledge, I honestly know fuck all about B5 and I'm watching it as if it was a new show just come out, cause to me it is.

No need to apologize. I suppose by one definition, the distinction between telepaths ("teeps") and psychics is merely in their abilities; both "funky mind people". But precisely what abilities they have does get to be important sometimes.

    Watchin' 'Comes the Inquisitor' now.

Stupid question from watchin' 'Divided Loyalties' - why would Talia stay on the station if her cover has been blown?

I'm really feelin' bad for G'Kar after 'The Long, Twilight Struggle' and the teaser for 'Comes the Inquisitor'. Poor bastard.

No, just that we don't know what all Sinclair allowed. He was a bit more subtle in his approach but not afraid to bend things to his needs (see "By Any Means Necessary").

Talia's cover wasn't blown until the very end of the episode, though, right?

Correct. Talia was still on the station until she could be retrieved by the Psi Corps. The little bit we saw after her implanted personality took over, was most likely her being kept locked up until a proper escort could arrive to take her away.

Regular maintenance cycle. Garibaldi mentions it in "Midnight on the Firing Line" (IIRC).

    It gets better. ;)

What did you think of "Confessions and Lamentations"? The ending shocked me when I first saw it because I just wasn't expecting it.

I thought it was over the top. I get that all the aliens that went into the self-imposed quarantine would likely die, but for all of them to die PLUS the ones that were still on their world at about the same time doesn't make sense, simply because it didn't take varyin' metabolic rate into account. Sure, they would all die, but it wasn't like there was a tickin' clock for all of 'em.

I did, however, like the little girl's answer to Delenn's question. It reminded me of my oldest nephew.

"Confessions and Lamentations".....one of the few exceptions to JMS' "No robots or cute kids!" rule. Of course, the kid died, so.....

My oldest nephew just turned nine this summer, and a few months before I moved, he told me he found out what my name was. For his whole life, I've been "Uncle T" and my sister finally told him that my name wasn't just the letter T.

So, tomorrow, I'll either start the third season of Babylon 5 or the first season of Heroes...

    ...a coin flip will decide.
